It's different for every kid... I walked at 8 months for the first time according to my mom (it was Christmas day), but that was really early. As long as your baby is rolling over and crawling, he's doing just fine. Is he pulling himself up onto furniture yet... trying to stand with support? At this point you might want to start helping him to walk, holding his hands so he sees that upright walking is an option. Once he realizes that there's a whole new world of stuff he can do and reach when he's up on his feet he'll get the hang of it. Don't worry! Like I said, every child develops at a different rate.

Yes it is normal. I didn't start standing and walking until I was over a year old. My mother told me that I had a giant head as a baby and I wasn't strong enough to balance. She also said I was sitting up on my own later than other babies too. When she told me I had this ridiculous picture in my head of me being a baby and stumbling around because the weight of my enormous head was making me stumble all over the place. Your kid will be fine. I'm guessing it's your first if you have concerns.

Yes its perfectly find all kids will do things at different ages your son might of sat up and cralwed early but might walk later than some babies or he might just surpirse you and start standing tomarrow or next week.
WHen he is ready he will do it and dont rush him because they dont stay small for long.

My daughter walked at 8 months and i wish she had waited till she was a year or even later.

Don't worry and try not to compare your kids to others or you might drive yourself crazy. Every kid is different and you will either get a walker or a talker. I know a 16 month old that is still not standing on their own.

Nothing is NORMAL with babies!! Don't worry - he will get there.

My daughter was walking well at 1 year, my 15 month old didn't until he was well over 1 - is just about walking well now!

They are all so different - so long as he is happy and thriving he's just fine!

i don't think there is a "normal". my girl was an early talker/late walker. actually started talking at 3 mo., but didn't walk 'till she was almost 13 mo. now at 23 yrs, she walks & talks perfectly fine. relax & enjoy him. he's his own little self.
