I took my son camping when he was only 6 weeks old. We camped in a trailer instead of a tent, I'm not quite ready to take him in a tent yet and he is now 10 weeks. I think you would be fine either way. It's really what you feel comfortable with.

I also just went to the doctor today with my son and my doctor said that children's sunscreen is safe to put on a child your daughter's age and said that bug spray without deet is alright, try Avon's skin so soft.

Sure: it'll never be easier. She doesn't need anything but you, and she's light and easy to carry.

Now, when you say "camping," I'm assuming you mean car camping, where you can find better shelter than a tent if the weather's awful, and where there are facilities to dispose of diapers.

If you mean real, pack-in camping, that's totally doable, too, but it takes a lot more thought.

I would think it might be a little difficult. There really isn't a super safe bug spray or sunscreen for babies that small that I know of. If you know of one then great, go for it if you have a good baby. The only other thing is how well she tolerates heat, You don't want her overheated. So if you plan on spending time in the lake or pool then great! Good luck if you go!!!

We took my daughter camping at about 7 weeks and it was great. Just be careful where you go. We live in Colorado and even though it was summer, it got unseasonably cold at night and it was difficult to keep her warm.

Sure, why not. If you are an avid camper and enjoy it then why not take your child with you. Just be prepared for all the little things you will need to do different than when you went camping before baby! (Diapers?!? Feedings?!?, insect repellent?!?)

If you are feeling up to it and your daughter is pretty healthy, then go for it. At this point, the baby is going to eat, sleep and poop no matter where you are, so why not go camping?

One question....why?
It would be a pain. You would have to pack the whole house. Tent....absolutely not.
Camper....personally I wouldn't, but better than a tent.
I just don't see why you would risk that with such a young baby. Wait awhile!!!

yes, but be prepared to change diapers by flashlight! babies are hardier then we think, and she will likey not notice or care that she's sleeping in a tent instead of a house. Keep the bugs off her!
