Can I put them in the dishwasher?

2007-03-13 08:07:47 · 3 answers · asked by Mommy...LT 3

I put her to bad at 9PM, and she is out like a light, but then she wakes up at 11PM and plays and fusses, (pushing and twisting and hitting) until about 1AM when she sleeps through the night until 8:00AM. She gets two servings of solids, plenty of formula and only has two naps during the day, with lots of play time and tummy time in-between. What else can I do? My husband and I sleep in the same room with her because we live in a small house...and she is just on the verge of crawling. Might this have anything to do with it. Sorry, it's my first baby, and all of this is new to me. She used to be such a good sleeper, but now this new sleeping has been going on for a month and I'm losing sleep and so is my husband. If ANYONE has ANYTHING that might be of help, that would be awesome! Thanks! :)

My 7 month old who has never slept through the night (God help us!) has been strickly bottlefed. She is in the 10% for her weight. The Dr. org told us to feed on demand b/c she is underwt. 7 mths later were dying over here. We rotate the "nightshift" so she isnt hooked on mommy. Her room is dark, quiet for night, etc. Sleeping is not a problem, waking up to eat is - as many as 3 times between 8pm - 7am. I've tried to wake her late to eat, i got an hour of screeming, no eating. I've tried to keep her up late - no way. I've tried to cut her two 45min day naps, no go. We try to load her up prior to bed, but still wakes to eat 2-3 x. We are going to try to let her "cry it out" the kackle crying i can do. The screaming get the sheets wet from tears, i can't make it. She seems to only be able to eat small amounts 5oz bottles or less, several times a day, b/c her tummy is so small. she is on solids, but only a few, she was VERY colicly. ANY suggestions!!!?

i have a heavy fleece bunting for winter. So my questions are:
-Is laying on really heavy fleece to hot in summer?
-the water proof car seat to uncomfortable for baby with no cover on top?
-A blanket would just slip... so I don't think that would work
- the headrest support is also water proof and slippery... should I get another head support (a blanket would just slip)

i just read a answer where a woman said if a woman chooses to formula feed a child (for no medical reason) it is her choice and just fine and no one else should bother her about it...i think this is bs why shouldn't a women be made to feel she is doing something wrong... she is choosing something inferior to feed her child... shouldn't she be warned... shouldn't she feel pressure to do the right thing... when i said i was going to breastfeed those women had no problem telling me about all the millions of reasons why i might not want to, or shoving their recomendations for witch formula was "best"... shouldn't these women feel pressure from society to do the RIGHT thing? it would benifit the society as a whole ... it would lower obeseity, breast cancer, allergies, etc and save a boat load of tax money that go to support buying women formula.. i don't know about you but i think i have the right and the moral obligation to inform and tell every women out there just wat they passed up!

I have a 4 mo. old baby girl who has had reflux for months now. She is on Prevacid and we add rice cereal to her bottle, prop her up, and everything. We are even seeing a GI specialist for her, but she still screams horribly when I try to give her a bottle. Any suggestions?

I'm heading to the hospital at 6pm this evening and they are going to use cervadel. I'm already 3 cm dilated and more than 70% effaced. 6 days overdue!!! What can i expect to happen tonight after the cervadel is used? The doc said my cervix is very soft and stretchy, so the cervadel might just put me right into labor...anyone else have this done?? How long before your baby was born???

He is 13 days old, and for the last 3 days he is spitting up everything he just ate at least twice a day. I try to burp him better, but it seems like he gags and then it all comes up. It even shoots out his nose! He only eats for about 10 minutes at the breast before this happens. What can I do? I am getting really worried.

Our twins are going to be 5 months on the 20th of March. We are still swaddling them every night. That is all they have known since birth. I am afraid they will not sleep well when we stop. What was your experience?

Okay, here's the deal. My 10 month old son does not crawl, does not pull up, does not get into a sitting posistion when laying on the floor. All he wants to do is stand and walk. He gets extremely mad when on the floor and I have tried all the techniques to get him to do more. It is not because he is physically incapabel, he is very strong, it's because he chooses not to. I am getting so fustrated because I know he can. I have three other children and I can't spend all day helping him walk around! I was wondering if anyone else is or has been in this situation with a 10 month old and what they did or do to handle it! Thanks so much!

Yesterday I was talking to my BF who has lost tons of weight bfing, I have not. I started thinking about how big her son is & in addition how much milk she pumps each day with a high quality electric pump. my DD has very small appetite and I rarely use my manual pump - on the days I do, i only get a few oz.
Quite simply, our bodies burn calories for each ounce of milk it produces. It stands to reason that the more milk you are producing, the more calories you burn. So that 500 calories a day idea cannot really used to describe every mom.. If your baby is a big eater and you pump many oz/day as well, you are going to burn more calories than a mother who doesn't pump and whose baby has a smaller appetite.
Care we test my theory? Have you lost weight - or not? What sort of appetite does your baby have? If you pump - how often & how many ounces do you produce?

being that breastmilk is the normal and best possiable food for a baby should women who can but choose not to breastfeed be made to feel guility??? y is this topic viewed as such a "what ever feels right for you" thing....should women really be made to feel its ok to give their child something substandard? and yes i said substandard because breast milk is the standard food for babies!
