I put her to bad at 9PM, and she is out like a light, but then she wakes up at 11PM and plays and fusses, (pushing and twisting and hitting) until about 1AM when she sleeps through the night until 8:00AM. She gets two servings of solids, plenty of formula and only has two naps during the day, with lots of play time and tummy time in-between. What else can I do? My husband and I sleep in the same room with her because we live in a small house...and she is just on the verge of crawling. Might this have anything to do with it. Sorry, it's my first baby, and all of this is new to me. She used to be such a good sleeper, but now this new sleeping has been going on for a month and I'm losing sleep and so is my husband. If ANYONE has ANYTHING that might be of help, that would be awesome! Thanks! :)

Is there ANY way that you can put her in a different room for bed? My 6 month old does this occasionally and we just ler her play herself out by herself. She has an aquarium attached to her crib so she usually plays with it or amuses herself by kicking the sides of her crib...we just ignore her when she does this and eventually she'll go back to sleep. If she does fuss I'll go in and check on her every once in a while but that's it. However with having your baby in your room that would be nearly impossible to do...

Is there any possiblilty that she may be teething? Lots of babies have a fussy period at night b/c of that. My daughter does for about a week before she cuts a new tooth (she has 4). If you suspect that be the culprit you can give her a does of Infant's Motrin just before bed and that should help her relax for the night.

I hope this helps and you can get some rest :)

Alot of babies will do this and if she is giving you 1:00am to 8:00am uninterrupted, I truly wouldn't complain. I know you are tired at 11:00 when she wakes up, but it's not too bad trust me it could be so much worse.
Do not give her any stimulation when she wakes up at 11, that will only keep her going thinking it is play time. Sit on the dark and play some quite soft music and try rocking her back to sleep. Do not play with her and give her toys.

She probably waking up wanting to "practice". The best thing you can do is have her bottle ready when she stirs so that she doesn't fully wake up.
