Yesterday my day was all over the place with my 6 month old ( just turned 6 months) She hardly took her bottle her gums seemed to have bothered her so she was more comfy with solids and chomping on the spoon, I put bonjela on her gums every three hours and gave her the baby panadol , she seemed cranky and hardly slept all day and through the night winged in her sleep. How far off are the teeth to come through when this happens- or does this just continue on and off, she hadn't been that bad before, today she seems to be fine.

My baby is 3 1/2 months old. The doc told us that she would not have noticable allergies until at least 6 months. Her father has terrible allergies. For the past month, her eyes have watered and swollen and she cannot get anywhere near the family dog. Is there anything I can give her safely to help her quit rubbing her eyes and sneezing. We keep the dog away from her, and I clean our carpet and furniture @ least once a week.

Hi, I would really appreciate some advice on our situation! My son is 7 and a half months old and was a colicky but got over that at about 3.5 months. Since his 2nd week he has not been a great sleeper. It goes okay sometimes (a couple days here or there he may nap for one-two hours during the day) but for the past week he won't sleep more than one 20-30 minute nap during the day and may fall asleep at night at around 8 and sleep til 8ish the next day but he is up almost every three hours to feed. He also has still not gotten the hang of eating solids and turns his nose up at most everything. We tried bottles of water at night so he would be hungrier during the day (didn't work), and I have tried giving him less milk during the day. Still doesn't work. Plus he is usually tired because he won't nap. Have tried letting him fuss a bit in the crib (like 45 min to one hour) but he just gets angry and won't fall asleep. Does anyone have any helpful words? Feeling exhausted and hopeless!

I'm not expecting, I'm just curious as to why more people choose to use cribs in their baby's nursery.. Are they safer or better in any way? Which do you have?

correct this problem. We are from Louisiana, and were told by his doctor that the best chance of success and surviaval would be to have the surgery in Boston, and that my grandson would have to be moved there by the middle to end of next week. My question is does anyone know of any charities that would help with medical expenses, and transportation. Please provide names & numbers if there are any. I am also asking that grandson, Hunter, his mom Paulette, and his father, my son, Scott be included in your prayers.

My 9-month-old daughter has an ear infection, and she was prescribed 1 tsp of amoxicillian twice daily. I tried to give her the first dose, but she obviously hated the taste and just spit it out. She probably swallowed less than a quarter of it. What should I do? How can I get her to take her medicine?

Thanks.

My brother and his wife recently got on WIC. We all know how it "works", but when they give you those vouchers does he have to use them all at once? i.e. buy all the juice, eggs, milk, cereal in one shopping trip? Or can he buy the juice one day (when he needs it) and the other things when he needs those... We all think WIC is kind of wasteful.

When I breastfeed her she breaks her latch and just wants to move around and look around. I feel like she isnt eating enough so I give in and feed her a bottle and even when I do that she just wants to keep looking all around her and move her head all over, its impossible to keep the bottle in her mouth! and when it does leave her mouth she flips out and starts crying but she wont stick with it!
I want her to stay still and stay latched on my breast or at least stay latched on the bottle!

I am due in less than 4 weeks with baby girl #2 and I making a list of the things I still need... can you help me out? My first daughter is 2 now and I am getting a bit fuzzy- what could you not live without during the first 3 months of your newborn's life?

I have all the furniture & big ticket items, I am talking about smaller items, clothing and products. Also, with clothing, how many of each item did you need? What items made your everyday life easier? What were your favorite baby products?

Help me please, I know I am forgetting things and it's driving me crazy! Thanks in advance...

BTW I am going to breast feed as I did with my first, so items relating to bottle-feeding won't be needed, I won't be pumping because I stay at home!

I need to take a medication for 3 days and will have to pump and dump, how long after I finish the medicine until I can stop dumping.

And I will ask the pharmacist when I get the medicine.
