yes i know its the mothers job to entertain baby, but i'm not her mother, i'm just her teenage relative taking care of her for a week or two because her dad just had surgery and her mom has carpel tunnel so she can't lift her.

Forget about websites, get your baby looking at photos of faces of family members on your screen saver slideshow. They LOVE it!

I can understand going on the computer for a little while with baby on your lap, as long as this is not all you do when watching the baby! Try doing a google search, put in baby websites. I am sure that there is something on baby einstein or disney channel or nick jr.

I don't know of any websites except sasame street (but my daughter is two) but there is a computer game for babies called giggles computer funtime for baby, and my daughter loves it if they touch any of the keys the shapes and music will change or you can just set it up so it goes through by itself. there are a few different activities on it dealing mostly with shapes and colors and some animals. they sell it at stores like walmart, target, best buy. my daughter is two and has had it for awhile and likes it it is for ages like 0-24 months or 6-24months i can't remember exactly

Babies this age are becoming more alert and more aware of their surroundings, but still too young to be very mobile so it's sometimes difficult to keep them entertained for long periods of time. Websites & tv are ok sometimes, but don't let her watch it too much. She needs to develope her own 'play style.'
Give her colorful toys that have lots of different textures and sounds. I found when my kids watch too much tv, I put on a fun CD and let them dance around. I's good excercise and keeps them from getting too bored on rainy or cold days. Your baby might enjoy some music. Baby Einstein is good or just a story time CD. Interact with her and play games like
peek-a-boo. She needs mommy time, too.

It might be best if you get her something else to stimilate her such as an exsersaucer or a gym. She can stimilate herself and those types of toys are designed to help her use her imagination too, instead of just looking at a computer screen. Might want to ask your pediatrician what he/she thinks.

Ok....I'm trying to be nice here....BACK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!! -- Try being a MOM, not a person that sticks their kid in front of a television, computer, etc. They are only young once...ENJOY the child. Entertain her, dont let some stupid machine do your work.

My daughter likes pbskids.org, she is one and a half but really likes the pictures. Babyeinstien.com used to have video segments of their dvds.

You could take her to PSB kids or Nick Jr and they have cute lil cartoons on there.

Why dont you entertain her? Its a lot healthier for her and you if you be the stimulator not some inanimate object.
