My son will be 3.5 months on tues. neway, i was curious if i should wait to start him on solids. im askin bc he stares at me while i eat and idk i think hes interested in it lol

My baby is almost 4 months old and for the past month he won't fall asleep without sucking his finger. I cant use gloves because he screams and cries, and i don't know another way. Do you?

I am "breastfeeding through pumping" because of difficulties with getting my newborn to latch on & stay latched because I have an Over Active Let-Down. With support we're (very) slowly making progress towards getting my son to nurse.

In addition to having an overactive let-down, I have an overabundant milk supply, (his stools have recently become much more watery, green instead of yellow, and he's become much more gassy).

I've read tips on how to decrease milk-supply but none of them address the issue of my son getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk when he gets fed (I'm sure the problem would be the same if he was nursing instead of getting a bottle). How can I reduce my milk supply while making sure that my son is getting enough hindmilk?

My local LLL & hospital & was told to just pump & throw out the first 1-2 oz. so he gets hindmilk. This will make my milk supply higher not lower & I'll have to keep doing this until I stop nursing. Is there anyway to fix both?

I have a family member that when ever she comes over she always takes my 8 month old son and changes his diaper with out asking whether it is dirty or not . Is this normal? I t kinda creeps me out but i dont want to throw a fit over nothing. let me know your opinions.

okay my nephew is a little bit older than 6 months now, and I was just wondering, before then we were suppose to give him baby milk every 2 hours now that he is eating regualr food( baby food) is it the same? how often does he eat now? and how often do i give him milk? Is it still milk every 2 hours and then give him baby food at breakfast lunch dinner? HELP!

yesterday I changed her and she didn't have any blood, but today I changed her and she had dried blood around her bellybutton area again. How normal is this? Should I call her pediatrician and schedule an appointment?

Hi, I am new to this forum. My second baby is now 7 months old and has had very little appetite for about 3 days now, about a day before his vaccinations. His diapers are less wet/full and his urine is yellow (not orange; they are usually very pale/clear). He is not interested in taking a bottle at all (with expressed milk or formula), and he nurses veyr lightly, as if for comfort. I think he might be teething. I dpnt see any teeth emerging but he is reaching at his ears. He was jsut at the peds , and he has not had a cold, and his checkup was fine, so i dont think he has an ear infection.

One problem we also have is that our son greatly prefers nursing. I have a number of health problems and have felt I do not produce a lot of milk (I pumped all day while in the hospital and had 6-10 oz total/day). With my first baby, i completely ran out of milk at 6 1/2 months, but my first son took a bottle fine. My youngest is growing but small. He doesn't eat enough. What can I do?

I want to make cloth diapers for preemies, what is the best fabric for the inner layer? I know some preemies can be really sensitive. I'd like to make AIO diapers, with PUL on the outer layer, probably hemp or microfiber in the middle (for the soaker), and I was thinking velour for the inside-but that doesn't take the wetness away as well as suedecloth.
Any suggestions? Any cloth you REALLY like/dislike?

my 4 month old is verry whiney lately and i cant figure out why shes fed changed dressed aprpriately the only thing i can think of is maybe an ear infection when we were drievingtoday she seemed to get more fussy as we went over a mountainand my ears poped and she fussed a bit more i dont know if shes coordenated enough to pull her ear ivf it hurts but she has been scratching one side of her face more are there any signs to look for so i could know for sure if its an ear infection like withh the insides of her ears be red ?? please help

my 2 moth old daughter has rosy cheeks and bites her hands, drools and so on(all the classic signs of teething)she cant hold a teething ring or anything and i dont want to give her orajel cuz i had an allergic reaction to it when i was a baby...my father in law says to feed her freezies but i dont know how good that is for her

How can I handle my inlaws who won't leave when I need to breastfeed? I have had to nurse right in front of them, and I hate that! Sometimes they leave the room, but I would rather if they would just leave the house because my baby and I are still trying to learn how to nurse. Any advice?
