we are having a baby in may and I love the name mason but others(inlaws,husband... aren't sold.) We want a first name and middle name that can be shortened like m.j. , t.j. etc. Thank you all in advance for your time!

Personally, I think Mason is a fine name, but then again I neither know you or your relatives. I've always believed the mother should have the last say on naming a child. After all, she's been in the most intimate contact with it for the last nine months.
Just be thankful your last name isn't Dixon or Jarr.

Why does the baby have to have an initialed first name? It's really up to you and your husband to find a name you agree on......I like Mason because it's different. You can come up with several different combinations until you both find one you like. We have always called our second son by his middle name. There are tons of men called T.J. or J.R. or M.J. but it's your baby....Another idea is to wait until you "meet" the baby....You could decide on something totally different!

I love the name Mason..(it is one of my sons names! Mason Alexander to be exact) its a great name!!!! James is a strong middle name!

Mason James is a great name! What names does your husband like? What doesn't he like about Mason James? I know you want to please his parents, but it's really none of their business. Even if they don't love the name, they will love their grandson Mason James. Yes, definitely Mason James....

Mason James is a great name. And it's YOUR baby, not theirs. Don't let them convince you or talk you out of any names!! It's your choice no one else's.
