I have tried letting her have it just until she is nearly asleep and then removing it (the theory being that how they fall asleep is how they expect to remain all night), but she has wised up to this and now curls up to sleep with her hand protectively over her dummy! She also does this if she wakes in the night and I put it back to calm her, making it dificult to remove it. I have also found that this has a tendancy to wake her up so that it is harder for her to go back to sleep.

She doesn't use it during the day other than naptimes.

I'm not a fan of crying it out, does anyone have any suggestions? She is still far to young to reason with, but I would like to break this habit sooner rather than later.

When I put my daughter to bed after she's had her dinner, a bath and a bottle, she just won't sleep. All she wants to do is roll over and stand up in her cot. She's to old to be swaddled. Any ideas? She's 9 months

It's driving me mad!

I've had a really bad migraine today, and I took two panadols, which didn't do anything, so took two more three hours later. I know I was supposed to wait another hour (4-6 hours), but I was in a lot of pain. It's gone away now, but my question is, will this affect my baby (six-month-old) through breastmilk (because I took the pills closer together than I should have)? Or will it still be okay for her to drink?

Is there a difference in how a baby will sleep or feel satisfied if given single or whole grain rice cereal in their bottle? I have tried organic whole grain rice, but noted there is a single grain rice available.

I have one month old twins who take turns waking me up all night long. I have not slept for more than two hours since they were born. They sleep longer during the day and I have tried keeping them up so they will sleep longer at night with no luck. I just want to get them on a better schedule. They have their days and nights mixed up. They would jump around at night while they were in my stomach too.

We have tried to let him cry it out and check on him periodically. He will cry for 3+ hours. Is this too long? An hour or two I can understand but, once he cries for hours on end I feel like it is too much for him. Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

My baby is almost 4 month old. She goes to sleep at 6.30 PM-7 PM. I give her a dreamfeed (she is literally asleep) at 10.30 PM and she sleep till 5 a.m. Them she eats and goes back to sleep till 7am 8am. Does it mean she is sleeping through the night?

My 5 month old son only wants to be with me at night. Last time he went to spend the night at my husband's parents house he cried and wouldn't stop and we ended up having to go get him. He will be spending the night there again tomorrow night. My husband and I will be going out with friends and I don't want to be interupted by his parents calling us telling us to come get him. We are going to Mexico at the end of the month for a week, and I want him to get used to being with someone else at night besides me. What are some good tips and tricks to calm a crying baby, aside from the obvious (feeding, changing, rocking, singing, etc.)? My mother-in-law found that running water seems to work. Any other ideas so I don't have to come and get him tomorrow night? Thanks a bunch!

One doctor said she thought it was something viral, but didn't know for sure. I am broke out with bumps as well, but mine look different than my son's. We haven't changed detergants or anything, everything in our house is the same. No pets!! I even decided today to wash everything in hot water...I'm just doing whatever to try to figure it out. Took my son back to the doctor yesterday, 5 more doctors looked at him, and everyone is clueless.
I am ready to change doctors, b/c this is crazy. There has GOT to be ONE doctor that knows what's wrong with my son. I am worried that my older son, will end up breaking out as well. Please someone give me some suggestions!!!!

my son is just about 10 months old. he is underweight. but we are trying to find the source of that. anyways when he eats he continoulsy wants more. he eats too much in my opinion. but this last week i have tried to get him to stop eating soo much (like after 10oz of food) i have tried giving him a pacifier, i have also tried giving him thoses little puffs to eat, so he is happy but can realize he is full. but it doesnt work, instead he screams and screams until i give him more food. he has been eating until he throws up. and after he throws up he is happy and stops eating. i know this is not normal, i have 2 other kids. but how do i get him to stop eating so much, also is there such thing as baby eating disorders?
