I have a friend who has 1 week old pups...she started with 9 but mom was dried up so 6 died the first night. Three survived until Yesterday...now one is acting just like he did before he passed...She is bottle feeding them with a formula for pups she got at a feed store. She tried to feed them atleast every hour but the pups wont wake to eat so they only eat 3 maybe 4 times a day. She helps them go to the bathroom just like mom and they have no problem..The stools are kinda watery and thick but has little tiny beads in them. My question is...Are these beads normal? Why are they passing away? They are fat and look so healthy... She keeps them in a box next to a heater on a towel. The area is very warm but the pups body temps seem really cold to me...I have been dealin with Kittens for 6 weeks to know that if the area is warm then they stay warm. What can she do to help these babies?

A lot of these toys i've gotten show this kid playing with these toys, like the dinosaur from fisher price and a bunch of other games and they say 3 months and up? Heck my baby way over 3 months now and going on 4 and can't figure out how the dinosaur thing works, and can barely put all the rings on the ring toss. Should I be worried?

A teacher colleague of my husband had a still birth, but took pictures of her baby. She has asked my husband to put together a presentation to play during the Visitation and Funeral and we need a song to play along with the slide show. I already thought of "Tears in Heaven", but don't really like it....any other suggestions?

my 2 month son since birth has aproblem, after he eats and I burp him and lay him down, he makes sounds like somethign is stuck in his throut or like he is sufficating, I have to pick him up and burp him again, and that goes on for about 4 to 5 times takes about an hour for him to stop doing that. If I hold him for after the first time I burp him he doesn't burp again, he has to be laid down and then picked up again in order to burp again. This process is really tiresom. ANy recomendations? I'm so worried that if I don't burp him enough something can go wrong and he'll sufficate in his sleep

We are trying to get our 9 month old son to sleep without our help. After months of trying everything under the sun, we are trying the Ferber method. We started last night and let him cry only going in at set intervals to give back his pacifier and lay him back down. He was exhausted. Even so he cried for 2 hours and finnally I layed down next to his crib and then he went to sleep. Then today we have tried it again with his naps and again he cried for two hours. I ended up rocking him when he showed no signs of sleep....just totally hysterical. Is this to be expected? Are we being cruel? If this is not how it is supposed to go....then what do we do next??? We have tried everything and we don't feel like this is working either.

My son learned to fall asleep on his own when he was about 5 months old. But we have moved twice since then. And now we are living with friends. His father is living somewere else because he can't live here with us. A legal matter states that he can't live here. So... Ever since his father moved out he has stopped falling asleep on his own. First it was just bedtime. It didn't bother me so much. But then it turned into bedtime and both naptimes. I have tried to let him CIO. That's how we got him to go to sleep on his own the first time around. But it's not working this time. He screams so hard he ends up throwing up. And now I have to actually lay down with him every night to get him to go to sleep. And I have to hold him to get him to fall asleep for naptimes. I want him to fall asleep on his own again, but I have no idea what to try.

Please can you tell me what could happen to a newborn that is in the mother's womb, and the mom fell off the horse and onto the ground. **Note this was in 1944 on a farm in the evening were doctors were far away and so was the hospital. The child was born black and blue everywhere. Parents never took it to the hospital to see if it was o.k.**

So, what injuries and trauma could this newborn have received?

Please no callous remarks or negative input. Thank you.

My niece is 14 months old and she's the only baby in the family. She's gotten a lot of attention and she loves to be with my hubby and me. She is a sweetheart, but also loves attention. This week her mother was at a meeting and was holding a newborn baby. She was not happy with the situation and was having problems with not being the center of attention. How should we introduce her to our new baby girl (due soon) so that she doesn't feel replaced and doesn't act out on our daughter? She's so young that it's not something we can explain to her. We are together a lot as a family and so not having them together really won't be an option.

Do they have sheets for this? Or what did you put under the baby not to get the padding wet during the night if they leak or burp up or something. The padding doesnt come off to wash, so I was just curious what you did. Hope this is not a stupid question, but this is my 4th baby and this is the first time I have seen these play yard/bassinets.

My son is drinking pumped breast milk and a little formula when I can't pump enough. He has reflux and is starting prilosec because he throws up almost everything he eats. I only feed him 2oz at a time like every hour and a half. He has gained 2lbs since birth. How much do other 6week olds eat in a feeding?
