Put your son's height and weight into this growth chart and see what the results are. If your child was premature be sure to use his corrected age(how old he would be if he was born on his due date). If you talk to your doctor he/she should be able to tell you what is normal for your baby. It also depends on the parents' size, if both your husband and you are small it is more likely your child will be too.

Thomas the Tank Engine Curious George Cowboys Baseball or families favorite sport Cars (the movie or just cars in general, can always do another vehicle like trucks if he likes those). Dr Seuss The Lion King Mickey Mouse Monsters INC Winnie the Pooh Baby Ducks/Pool party Pirates Superman or other superhero What to serve? Depends on what you wanna do. Is the party mostly for kids or adults? What's your budget look like? The two easiest with those in mind are finger foods like sandwiches, fruit and chips. And of course the birthday classic, pizza. Still sticking with easy, kid and budget friendly. Spaghetti,Lasagna or even Burgers and Hot dogs could go fairly well.

Your doctor should be charting his weight, height and head circumference. My daughter is 17 lbs and 9 oz and she's 28 inches long-- she was born in the middle of June and currently is 8 and 1/2 months... Her weight is at the 52 percentile and she's near the 70th percentile for height-- so it sounds like your boy is just fine.

He doesn't sound like a poor eater. the weight and height sound fine to me. your doctor is the one who should be answering this question though. I hope you are taking him to the pediatrician, it's actually more important to measure the height and weight over a period of time to make sure the baby is staying on the same curve.

that depends on his growth since he was born.. as in how much did he weight and how long was he at birth? the doctor should be able to show you his growth chart, and he should still be following the same curve that he started out on.. if he has fallen off that curve then i would worry, if he hasn't then he's just fine. my baby is 6 months old and not even 12 pounds and about 26.5 inches, she's doing fine but not on her growth chart any more b/c of GI problems-- so if it's something like that then talk to your doc

Does he act fine or does he seem to fuss alot? If he's fussy, he could be hungry. But 17 lbs isn't bad if he's healthy and growing on his own height and weight chart. My niece who is now almost 2 weighs less than 20 lbs! She's off the charts, low, but she's consistently "growing" on her own curve chart, so her doctor isn't worried about her.
