Hi All!
My son will be 7 weeks old this sunday! When he was born he had brown eyes. Now they look like they are turning a dark blue. could this be possable???? Have you ever heard or seen this happen to another baby???? I thought that if a baby was born with brown eyes that they stayed brown.

I have blue eyes ( our 3 year old son has baby blue eyes) and hubby has dark brown eyes!

My daughter had almost black eyes when she was born but later her eyes turned to this beautiful dark blue like her daddy's.

My son's almost 1 1/2 and we're still not sure what color his eyes are... I hear most kids' eyes settle on a color by 9 months or so, but it can take a year (or more) on some kids. With my son, it depends on what he's wearing and what kind of light he's in- sometimes they're blue, or gray, or green, or hazel... and my husband and I both have brown eyes!

O)o um honey you should have already learned that normaly when a child is born there eye color does change. It's normal don't worry about it. And some times peoples eyes color change all the time like depeneding on what they wear. My eye color changes and I'm going to be 15 this month they are normaly blue though lol.

Not always, some babys are born with brown eyes and then they turn blue, and some are born with blue and they turn brown, dont question it .

Yes this could happen. Both of my kids were born with gray eyes. My oldest daughter eyes turned dark brown and my newborn her eyes are still that color but the pediatrician informed me that with newborns it is very had to tell what their eye color will be. What they are born will doesn't always mean it will be that color.

It's not at all unusual for a baby's eyes to change color or for hair to change color. My daughter started out a blue-eyed blond. Now her eyes are blue-gray and her hair is brown.

I don't think baby's eyes turn there final color till there around a year old. Even then people's eye color can change with age.

my sons eyes were dark brown and now that hes almost 2 his eyes are green :) My husbands family is portaguese while I'm more of the green eyes. His family gave me " Brown eyes are more dominate speach. So I told my husband we can get a blood test, if you dont believe its his .... but he didnt . I love him so much for believing in us :)

most babies are born with blue and it can take up to year for them to change

i've seen it happen, a friends baby started that way....he's now six and his eyes changed to hazel when he was 4 (they were blue till then)
