I had a severe kidney infection with basically what felt like (I later found out) labor pain. I took Tylenol with codeine until the antibiotic kicked in and my pain went away. I only took this because I could not function, if you can handle what pain you are having, I would suggest going without the pain med.

First off it is prescribed to you and your doctor (who by the way went to medical school) says that is necessary and OK if used correctly then as long as the baby in monitored regularly then by all means take your medication. NOW as far as the woman who said Tylenol was restricted by her pharmacist that is bull they tell you that Tylenol is the only medication that you should take for pain the is not prescribed to you......And again this is your child and if you trust you doctor and there judgment and they say it is OK the believe in them......remember they are going to be the ones to help bring your child into this world .....good luck:)

I was warned not to take anything while I was pregnant except Ibuprofen for pain.
That said, acetaminophen, which is found in that medication, has been linked to birth defects. The baby can become dependent on the drug, and will go through withdrawals when it is born.

You will have a baby that is born addicted to drugs. The baby will go through withdrawal when it is born. Opiates are addictive. I'm not sure if you mean you are prescribed this by your doctor or addicted. If your doctor has prescribed it, talk to your doctor. If you feel you may have an addiction, seek help. There are many programs to help pregnant women.

I was on Lorcet Plus while pregnant for my bad back pain and migraines. They were written out to me to take only as needed and that is how i took them.
My son was born healthy. Are you meaning Percocet or Oxycontin? If oxycontin i would stop taking it.

No pills during pregnancy what so ever, especially not a narcotic.
My Pharmacist wouldn't even let me buy Tylenol over the counter for a cold. Too much can happen to the baby.
