I live in Anchorage Alaska and have 4 month old twin boys. I have them on a pretty decent schedule right now..i can live with it. My problem is that we are getting more and more daylight...and if you didnt know in the summer in Alaska..we have A LOT of sunlight. In the lightest part of the year we might get 4 hours of dark..so how do i get them to sleep normally with all that sunlight!!!

I'm scared of having sex after my 6 week check up after the delivery of my son. My appointment is in 2 weeks. But right now my clitoris close to my pubic bone is sore and the rest of my vagina still feels a bit sore or rubbed raw. Do most people feel okay after 6 weeks? And how long until sex actually fels normal and good again? I had like 3 stitches, they said it wasn't bad at all. But I'm just wrried that it is still sore and its been 4 weeks already.

My 7 month old will just cry for no reason because she wants to be held or for everyone to pay attention to her. It is starting to drive me crazy. She will be perfectly happy playing or eating, and she will still just sit there and cry. I'm starting to think this is our own fault for overspoiling her. But now she won't sleep in her crib at night, she will just stay up and cry until she is in our bed or is being held. And she won't play in a room by herself, one of her sisters or someone else has to be with her. Is there any way to solve this?

As a parent some of the essentials for a little one can become costly~ Although there are many was to obtain saving on these, through coupons/sales etc.

Ideally, if you could obtain diapers/formula for free, through paying a small monthly fee, & shipping costs,

What would you consider a fair Monthly price you would be wiling to pay to access such items??

This is a general inquiry and your opinion is valuable~

Email responses are fine also

How much on average should a six month old eat solid food in one sitting? I know every baby is different and everybody starts at different ages but I just want to get an idea of how much is too much or is there a thing of too much? Should I let my 6mo old son eat the baby food until he is full or should there be a limit? I'm asking this question because he just ate 2 tubs of 3.5oz gerber baby food! With a little oatmeal added. I usually just give him one but decided to let him keep eating because he wanted to. I'm a first time mom and I'm sure I'll end up figuring this out on my own but just wanted to get advise from experienced moms. And yes I'll eventually ask his doc but in the meantime any help will be appreciated......Thanks, also we started introducing at 4 mo but he really didn't get eager or get the hang of it until 5mo (I gave him a couple of weeks then tried again)

It seemed pretty obvious to me why they'd be useful, but I just got a "Hmm. Why can't you just carry the baby?" question from somebody, and, honestly couldn't adequately answer it...

This morning My eight month old daughter sneezed, and a full size, french cut green bean flew out her nose. I know where she got it, too. I gave it to her last night thinking it would be ok (soft, small enough not to choke on) She never coughed, didn't act fussy, and then, boom, green bean. Anyone else have funny stories about their little ones?

My baby is about 2.5 months old...I would like to go visit my family in California (which is a 2 hr. flight), but I'm not sure if my baby is old enough. Should I go...or wait til he's about 3 months? Thanks for your help and please share your experiences with me.

does it matter? I give her fresh fruits in the feeder. I talked to one mom who cooks her vegetables and I wasn' sure if that was to rid them of bacteria or if it just makes the veggies taste more mild. It probably makes the consistency different as well. Are their certain veggies you think work better cooked?

What can I do to entertain my 9 month old? He's not crawling or walking yet. He LOVES his excersaucer, but I want to slowly stop him from using it, because he's getting so big, and I want him to move around on his own. He refuses to go on his stomache, and when he falls over he can't help himself up. Any ideas on what we can do all day. I live in Canada, so it's very cold outside right now. When the warm weather comes we'll be outside all day long, but until then, I'm running out of ideas!

I was diagnosed with PUPPPS and its been really bad. I have the rash everywhere except my feet hands and face. I was prescribed some topical steroids which seem to relieve some itching. But I just wanted to knowif anyone has had PUPPPS that went away before the baby. Because my doc said it will be gone after delivery maybe a week. Right now I am 33 weeks... so I really want this to be over with as my skin is so so annoying and painful.

I call it resting. She will lay there or sit in her swing with her eyes closed but any movement or noise around her wakes her. When she sleeps, nothing will wake her. She will rest too as long as it is quiet. Is that anything to be concerned about? Is it normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

I started noticing the other day my 23 month old taking her baby doll and putting it's nose to the wall saying (I can understand very little but this was some what clear) Put your nose to the wall. I'm feeling like I most do that to much. What do you think?

My baby is almost 4 months old, but he developed what the doctor called a “Mild” case of eczema when he was only 1 month. Since then the so called mild case has become a full blown eczema affecting his legs, arms, chest and now – face. Some time ago I called my doctors who prescribed Mimyx crème for his eczema and it worked for about a week but then we were back at square one. I tried switching to mild soap, new scentless Aveno lotion with oatmeal for sensitive skin and yet I cannot get the eczema under control. I am taking him to the doctor again today but I just wanted to check if you had any recommendations or have had any success from personal experience treating baby eczema.
Thank you
