Get a sling, it sounds like a growth spurt. It should pass within a couple days. For now, spend some time relaxing, order in dinner and make hubby do the dishes.
Shes too young for solids (and cereal is a bad choice to start) Shes just trying to get you to make more milk... How are her wet diapers?

Is this an everyday event or just today?
Infants go through specific growth spurts where there are days that they will nurse all day long and then the next day will be back to normal. This serves a two-fold purpose. They are in a spurt and are extra hungry, plus since breast milk production is a supply and demand sort of deal they are upping your supply.
Some little ones also like to use mom as pacifier. Think about it, they are getting snuggles they are being held and they are getting their favorite thing.....
Good luck

If she will take a bottle, pump and put some cereal in the bottle. You can get the nipples that allow cereal to pass through. You might even want to supplement with formula because your milk may not be enough or you are not producing enough. At 4 months she is good to start a bottle, she has already had 4 months of the good stuff and she will be fine with formula with a little cereal in it. She will sleep longer to. I know it is sad to stop breats feeding, but if she is not getting enough then it is time. Good luck

Actually, yes. We have 4 children, and this is pretty normal, my wife goes through the same thing every time. To begin with, consider adding bottle feeding, and add a little cereal to the formula. You will need to slightly enlarge the hole in the nipple of the bottle to avoid clogs. This will help your daughter get used to cereal, and her tummy will stay full longer, giving you a break. Once she grows used to this, in a few weeks, then try straight cereal. If she still spits it out, try flavoring it with pudding.
Good luck, and hope that helps!

Oh you poor thing! She's probably not hungry, just looking for security. Sucking is babies natural security. I would try a bottle with just water or even a pacifier.
She may not go for it at first, but keep at it. Eventually she might give in and decide she likes it.
Or even try pumping and then adding whole-grain cereal to your breast milk to fill her up if she is truly hungry.
Good luck! It's a rough ride those first 6 months!

I would have her seen by a doctor. She might be having another issue. Nursed babies nurse when they are in pain, need security, etc. My son was doing that, and we found out he had silent reflux. I hope you find what's going on.

yes! Ween her off the 24 hour a day feeding. YOU have to be the responsible one and adjust her diet (feeding times, amounts, etc). Crying is part of adjusting...and sounds like you need to adjust too!
