Up until recently I had no doubt that I was going to vaccinate my kids and they would both be okay. My husband is totally against vaccinations and didn't want either one of our kids to be immunized, but I did it anyway with my daughter. But now with this new stigma attached to immunizations I'm wondering if I'm the only mother out there debating whether I should or shouldn't. I definitely don't want to put my kids in positions where they could develop autism by being vaccinated, but I also don't want to take the chance of them getting sick because they weren't. My two year old was vaccinated and she is perfectly fine. I'm pregnant with my little boy and although I haven't had any problems with immunizations it's still in the back of my mind. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this??

My daughter just turned 4. She is an only child (for now). When ever i go to the store, whether for groceries or whatever, i always buy my daughter something, a small toy, a snack, or a treat usually for being good at the store, sometimes just because i want to!
We are not rich, and i dont buy expensive toys, just something small, that she really likes, if something is to pricey, i'll say pick something else.
But sometimes she'll throw a fit if she doesnt get what she wants. And so i'm starting to wonder if i'm spoiling her. Its not that i give into every whim, i want to bless her with things, especially if shes been good.
The iceing on the cake was the other day when we were celebrating the holidays, and she got a gift (a tinkerbell costume) and she was very excited. But then started throwing a fit b/c there were no shoes with it, the wings kept falling off and she couldnt fly!! mind you, shes four.
My husband thought sh was ungrateful. Are we spoiling her?

im 17 weeks pregnant and really happy. I have told everyone and im looking forward to being a mother, my partner is also very excited! Im 21 and have managed to afford a mortgage on my partners salary so we are in a good situation. My 17 year old cousin suddenly said she was trying for a baby and had done test and it was neg so she took another and it was inconclusive, she says that she hasnt had a period and went to docs they said IF shes pregnant shes no more than 2 weeks as too early to test but shes constantly complaining of sickness EVERYTHING, At 2 weeks im sure she wouldnt have any symptoms but it really annoys me as everytime i talk to someone about being pregnant as i have quite a big bump, she butts in about her pregnancy, she doesnt even know shes pregnant!!!

My daughter is going to be turning 3 next month, and we see tons of things at the store that we think she may like. We've even had her look at the newspaper ads and tell her to show us what she likes. So far, we've gotten her the new candlyland game, and some of the littlest pet shop toys. I just really need some more ideas. We also know that we're getting her Ratatuoille...I have no clue how to spell that. But I thought I'd ask and see if I could get some more ideas from others cause she likes so many different things. Thanks for the input.

My child turned 3 in November and has no desire to use the potty. I have tried pull ups and even cotton underware. She still pees and don't care if it is running down her legs! We even let her go with me to the store and pick out what underware she wanted! Any suggestions?

In areas where c section rates are high, does that mean there is a higher rate of live births and healthy babies? There is so much discussion about the possibility of c sections being unnecessary; however, does anyone know of any real statistics? I hear of so many c sections among my friends. I hear their birth stories and they are all similar ... they go into labor, usually drugs are used, and eventually they say the baby is in distress or it's been too much time since the water broke and they need to get the baby out, or there is a failure to progress. What is it? Is it the drugs, are our babies too big, are the doctors being selfish? It is very disconcerting to me because I want to know real facts but there don't seem to be any, just a bunch of theorizing by well meaning people but we as mothers want real facts so we can make the right birthing choices to have healthy babies.

Like, going out to have dinner at other people's houses instead of them coming to you? Or just going out of the house for extended periods of time in general?

I just had a baby on the 2nd of December and I feel like my mother in law and husband are pushing me to do things I just don't feel ready for. Just curious how long it took everyone else to feel comfortable with those types of things.

My husband hasn't seen his daughters in almost a year. The reason? He and his ex did not have a good split, and she has spent the last 10 years trying to turn his daughters against him. She has told them lies about him that were just outrageous. They split when the girls were really young and she got remarried(To the man she was cheating with) immediatly. They have been raised being told lies about my husband, and have been told to call their stepdad "dad" and my husband by his name. My youngest SD even thinks my husband isn't her real dad, and that her stepdad is. We saw them on a regular basis for a long time, but if we wern't spending tons of money on them, they didn't want to come over. Their mother would bribe them to want to stay home, by offering sleepovers, trips, and going shopping. My husband tried to undo the lies they had been told but it never worked. They believed their mom. He finally decided to leave it up to them to come over whenever they wanted to.......

My girlfriend was taking some sort of pill that delayed her period. During this entire time we did not use protection and I ejaculated inside her at least 3 times. She is a pharmacist and said her period should of came after she stopped taking the pill but still no sign. Could she be pregnant and if so how long before she can be tested to find out?

ok- I'm having a huge problem with this. Everything was fine, until she started texting him. (let me give you some background) We tried to get me pregnant, and I lost it last week...And it's been a huge emotional roller coaster for me.

There's probably a 95% chance this baby is his. She's due the first week in Jan. He asks me if he can go to the birth, and wait in the waiting room with his dad...However, every time we talk about it, I start to get heart palpitations, get lightheaded, and have an anxiety attack. I can't let him go. but, having that conversation breaks my heart as much as it probably would if I knew that he went. i cry all the time. And I don't know what to do- please help me. i'm so lost, and think i'm going to breakdown.

My friend fathered a child 12 years ago. When the child was around a year old the mother of the child disappeared and left him no forwarding address.

He managed to track them down after a few months but a man at the end of the telephone told him to get lost and not to attempt to contact them again. They then disappeared and he has not been able to find them since.

My question is could this child have been adopted by a 'stepfather' without this father's consent? Not a day has gone by without him thinking of his son. He is a talented musician and alot of his music has been written with his son in mind - it breaks my heart.

If he was adopted and the birth certificate changed and sealed, will this child ever find his way back to his father?

I am 24 years old and married. we just had a bay who will be a month old on the 20th. I was going in to have my tubes tied in the middle of january but hubby doesn't want me to he wants to try for another baby ( try for a boy we have 3 girls) in the next year or so. How do I tell him I don't want to keep trying with out diappointing him or hurting his feelings? Or are there less premanet but effictive birth control methods we could try. I am breast feeding our 3 weeks old.

Well, I have an eight month old and just found out I am pregnant again. I am worried about it being too soon after I had a baby. Am I at a higher risk for miscarriage? I'm going to the doctor next week, so please don't advise that. Also, will I care for my firstborn more? Or the newer baby more? It may sound stupid, but I don't know. How do your emotions change when you have the second child? If anyone has any information about this, please tell me.
