When I go to the Doctor or Hospital I am asked for extensive family medical History. The American Adoption System tells me I am not entitled to know anything about myself or my own birth, including my family medical background

When I get upset about this situation I am told over and over (I've recently had a particularly nasty email from someone here on Y/A) that I am "feeling sorry for myself"

What do you think? Is it ok for anyone to be kept in the dark about their own selves?

Did it occur to you that Joan uses YA to vent her opinion instead of going at her daughter in law? everyone disagrees about things, don't you think it's better she lets of steam on YA instead of picking at everything her daughter in law does in real life? If Joan and her daughter in law got on badly, then Why TF would her daughter in law let Joan watch her kids so much???????
Why don't you all start looking at each of Joans questions as unique? I noticed yesterday that no matter what she asks, there's always a few who say "you really hate your daughter in law Joan" How TF can she hate her, when she hasn't even mentioned her???????Maybe you lot should get off her back, and start seeing the whole picture!

Heres my situation. My school, is a small private school, with pre-12.with a tolt of 19 high school students, with 2 senors. One of the senors, is this girl who i hang with. I like her, alot. last month my period ended on the 17th and I had sex on the 19th and the condom broke. this month its now the 17th and I havent even started yet. I havent been cramping and I dont feel like im about to start. I took a pregnancy test in the middle of the day a couple days ago. it was negative. could I still be pregnant?

hi, my baby is 11.5 month old, she has a mild cold with only some cough!but the physician prescribed cefixime syrup for her!! why cefixime is prescribed for a baby who has never taken antibiotics in her life?iam a pharmacist and i didnt give her cefixime and i gave her co- amoxiclave156 syrup by my own,and now she feels better.whats your idea?thnx in advance!

My son is 22 and his girlfriend just 18. They both moved back home with me rent free until they get on their feet. She said she wanted to move out here to Vegas because she did not have any support from her family when it came to being with or possibly marrying my son. They are pregnant and due at the end of July. They have no money and no jobs... She secretly tells him that I stress her out because she doesn't like when I ask her to do small household chores...(She's pregnant, not disabled)
He has moved across country and put his life on hold twice for her already. He does everything she wants... Except for this time... He finally has a chance to secure a really good job making a very good living but he has to do an apprenticeship for 4 years. Now she wants to move back to GA because her sister is pregnant now too (Her sister and my son can't stand each other) and she wants to be close to her mother now too... What about what he wants for once? Should he put his foot down?

Help my daughter is 15 weeks old. She has been on Prosobee now for almost two weeks. She is extremely constipated. The poor thing strains, turns red and cries to poop but allot of times only a tiny little pebble comes out. Please advise what I can do, give her or make to help her? I have already contacted her Ped she said its normal and it should go away in a few days on its own. Please advise as soon as you can.

i will try my best to explain but iam really confused and scared so whatever you say to me must be really true not made up stuff coz iam going to take it seriously. please guys help me. here goes..

i had sex with my boyfriend 7 days after my regular period and the condom broke . so i went to get the morning afters but they were out , they only got them in stock after 2 days and drank them on the 4th day sfter intercourse. my period didnt come , i had sex again with my boyfriend and again the ******* condom broke again, that was 5 days after i took the moring after pill then the next day i took another pill and here iam .. today iam still not on my period having took the second pill yesterday? so am i pregnant ???? help

ok, I realize this is a pretty unorthodox request for a baby name. But my son's name is Samuel Barrett, Barrett as in the Barrett M-82 .50 Calibre Rifle (yes, we're an army family, big surprise, my husband is a sniper). Anyway, I'd like to continue the "gun middle name" for my daughter but can't think of anything relatively femenine. The strangest ghost I had ever saw was when I was nine years old. I was walking into my room when suddenly I saw a baby for about exactly one second. It was straight in front of me not in the corner of my eye. It was about 5 steps away. However, what I saw wasn’t a cute baby; it was a baby that was…
8 months old in the womb! I didn’t see through the mother’s stomach there was just lungs and liver on my bed. It wasn’t dead it looked like it was breathing properly and it had it’s eyes shut. After that experience, I’d never had another ghost encounter again…so far. I think that baby’s mother had an abortion or something *shiver*…
