He needs to learn to live on his own and support himself, the way all ADULTS ( which is what he is) do in the real world. I'm sorry your mom left you, but perhaps she had her own reasons for doing so, like maybe to make you take a reality check and show you what life in the real world is like. Is it fair? NO, but then again, life itself is not fair most of the time.

I would suggest that you start looking for a job and a place to live, and in the meantime, see if you can stay with a friend or another relative ( such as your dad) until you get yourself going. Life is tough sometimes, but you will get through this. Good luck.

I know most people are going to say that you are old enough to stand on your own two feet...but I think to have your mother leave you at any age is still hard. Did she walk out? Do you still have contact with her? ...or has she simply found a place of her own, where you are welcome to visit?
It's hard to give advice without knowing more details?
I'm sorry she has left and that you are feeling deserted!
