I went to the doctor 2 days after i took a pregnancy test that was positive. It was confirmed that i was pregnant.
I had taken that pregnancy test 7 days before my period was even due so you see i went to the doctor before my missed period.
Make an appointment asap.

Nowadays in our hospital , the OB GYN will also use a test kit if not blood test . When I had my first pregnancy , I had all the symptoms and my tummy is growing but I waited till one month . For my best advise , go see a OB GYN , no need to wait since its your first time to be pregnant best you have a guidance of a Doctor so you could react properly if you have concerns and also the best vitamins for you and the baby could be planned and use right away.
Anyway its always money well spent when you see your OB Gyn , if you are not yet pregnant and wanted to be , then your Doctor could give you and your husband pointers to get pregnant , if you are pregnant then she would advise you on how best to care for yourself and the baby and could prepare you and your husband emotionally on this wonderful news.
Some women experience symptoms like vomiting and sensitivity to some smell but others don't have any of these
.
For peace of mind and safety , see an OBGYN now.

you could actually be about 3-4 weeks now if you are pregnant.
i read 4 positive tests in 2 days..lol. so on the second day i went to the ob/gyn and took a urine pregnancy test (free). some hospitals offer free tests if yours doesnt find a "free clinic" near you. they need to have a positive test on their file so they can set up a dr appointment for you. you will also see a finacial advisor who will go over the cost of the visits and delivery, ect. good luck! oh and i havent had morning sickness at all (knock on wood) and ill be 7 weeks pregnant wednesday!

Hi! My dates are exactly the same as yours! (your last period was the 10th). I found out 4 days earlier (on the 11th) that I was pregnant. I scheduled an appointment that same day, but the doctor said they wait until a woman is so many weeks before her first visit. So they scheduled me for January 17th. You should go ahead and get started on prenatal vitamins if you haven't already. You can get them over the counter at Wal-Mart for like $8. Good luck and blessings to you!

not everyone has morning sickness when they are pregnant. Or it may not even be the morning could be afternoon or evening.
Go to your doctor to confirm that you are pregnant so you can get all the necessary information and help if needed. Normally after they do confirm the pregnancy your next appointment won't be until the 12th week. After that every 4 weeks until the 30th week, then every 2 weeks until the last 3 weeks. Then they will see you every week until you deliver.

You should definitely make an appointment as soon as possible. That way your doctor can schedule you to have a test in his office and schedule for the prenatal exam. There will be a wait before you actually get your first prenatal exam that's why its best to do it ASAP. Remember there is a very low chance of a false positive. Good Luck.

If your seriously asking this question, YES go see a doctor if your pregnancy test came up POSITIVE. You couldn't do anything better for yourself than that. especially if you are pregnant! so YES go to the doctor, what is one more test going to prove to you?? think about it!! If you go to the doctor, then you find out for definite if you are or you aren't pregnant, then she will start tracking your pregnancy, give you some prenatal vitamins for your unborn child which is excellent for the fetus even early early on, the earlier the better and the healthier your baby will likely be. you cant go wrong, its a win win situation for you.
dont listen to your husband, he doesnt know what he is talking about, hes a man for starters ...what does he know about being pregnant? Im sure hes a lovely man but listen to your body dont ignore it, its important to do that especially when your expecting a child but you should do it always!
Im a nurse so i know these things!!

There are very very few things that can cause a false positive and they all contain the HCG hormone so it's not likely you are on any medicines that contain this.
That said, a positive is a positive so you should make your appointment as soon as possible. The earlier you start your prenatal care, the better you and baby will be.
Congrats!

If a pregnancy test gives a positive result, they are usually very accurate. Go see the doctor soon so you can start organising your antenatal care and midwife visits.
Congratulations and good luck

OTC test can give false negatives but normally never a false positive. You can go to the doctor now. Congratulations on the news!
