I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my 1st child & feeling very down. I cry everyday. Most of the time it's something to do with my fiance. Well, I feel like he doesn't really want to be with me or care about me, but he says that he does. For example, today when we woke up he asked if I wanted to go to the mall at 2. I said yes. I was so happy & excited b/c we hardly ever go anywhere/do anything together. Most of his time goes to his friends. Anyway, at about 1:30 he calls back & says let's wait until about 3 or 3:30. I said ok b/c I wasn't ready anyway. I called him at about 2:30 & ask what he's doin. He says nothin & asks what I'm doin. I said about to shower & put my clothes on. Then he suggests let's wait until tomorrow to go. I am crying my eyes out right now b/c he does this EVERYTIME that we plan to be together. It's like his friends r more important. They could plan something & he's right there. And all he can do is say that he's sorry. I feel so sad & lonely. I don't know what to do. I don't know what's wrong. I don't know if he's cheating on me or what. I feel like he's annoyed by me & doesn't really want to be with me , but just can't/won't tell me. Everytime I ask him he says that he does, but he's not doing anything to convince me that he does. Another thing that bothers me is that we hardly ever have sex. Should I just leave him alone & find someone who's willing to spend time with me??? I know that I'm not just being emotional b/c I'm pregnant. Please help!!! =(

What was the best/most helpful gift you received as new/expecting parents?

My friend is expecting, and instead of clothes I wanted to give them something useful or practical.

Thank you!

I'm driving myself insane wondering. I am on day 32 now of my cycle...still no AF...

I've taken pregancy tests (First Response) every morning now for days, all come up negative, but I keep testing and wondering because it's only been 14 days since we 'tried'.

I'd just figure I was late, but I'm feeling weird - the muscles in my lower stomach feel like they are being stretched and keep twitching. Is this a pregnancy symptom? Am I just late? Would I be producing enough HCG for a pregnancy test to pick it up at 14 days past conception?

Gah, I wish I knew one way or the other if I was pregnant or not.

Because we are trying to have a baby, I keep thinking: This is it -or is it?

All I would like to know if it is normal to have heavy discharge after a period as well as before?

My period lasted only 2 days, but straight after, I started having discharge and now and again, it is very heavy and lumpy, without smell!

Please excuse me being so explicit, but I do not know of another way to describe it.

I have a 3 month old child that does not take either a pacifier or a nuk. He cries when he does not have his bottle. He reachs a majority of the time a point that he will cry if he does not have the bottle. He will start spitting up the milk. I don't want to continue to give him food, so I started giving him water bottles in between feedings. He then starts spitting up the milk, then the water, but if you take the bottle out, he starts to cry, uncontrollably again. Can anyone give me some advise on what I can do? If you can, please leave your ages so that I can see what age groups believe what? Thanks.

she has been vomiting for the past 3 days, im giving her pedialite instead of formula because shes throwing formula and anything else we try and feed her up.. she has no fever... and this morning i awoke to her explosive diareah all over the crib... what else can i do besides pedialite? anything?

im a stay at home mom, so ive been with her the whole time shes been sick, i have been giving her as much pedialite as she usually gets in formula and if she will take it i give her more... im really watching her for dehydration and we kept trying little bits of food and sometimes she would keep it down and other times she wouldnt... and this morning was the first time for the diarreah....

i called her doctor and they are referring to the ER and my town has the one of the worst ranked hospitals that there are and i will only go there as a last resort....

so besides going to the ER what else can i do?

How much did your #1, #2, #3, etc babies weigh?
My doctor said typically your 2nd baby weighs more than the first. I was wondering how true this is....my first was 9 pounds and so now I'm freaked out!

My daughter is turning 2 in 2 weeks, a few days after Christmas. We just moved across the country and don't know many people, just a few neighbors but not well enough to ensure they would show up for a party if invited. It would at least be mom, dad, bday girl, and 6 year old son. I really want to do something special for her that she'd enjoy, but all I can think of is Chuck E Cheese. Plus, my house is furniture-less, so even if we did have guests, I'd want to do this somewhere else (indoors only). I have a $100-$200 budget. Any ideas? Thanks!

My one year old son normally has a bath at 6.30pm, tea at 7pm then plays for a couple of hours and goes to bed at 9pm.

However tonight, he got really tired and grouchy at around 5.30 and fell asleep on the sofa. I covered him up and put him safe, expecting him to wake up within 30 mins or so.

He's still asleep!

He seems fine (he has been under the weather with a cold though).

Should I wake him up for some tea? He will be a real misery if I do. But I'm worried about putting him in his cot for the night now as he's had no tea, so he'll be waking up with hunger throughout the night!

Hi all, I hope you can help me. I am 27 weeks pregnant, and my baby father and I are unfortunately no longer together. He is in no doubt that he is the father of the baby, but is unwilling to put his name on the birth certificate. He says he does not know what he is signing to by putting his name down. I find it very sad, as I would love nothing better than for him to be on there. How can I go about this? He wants full involvement with the baby, and has made plans to do so i.e. buying a cot etc for his house. I have tried to explain I do no want his money, I am goin back to work full-time so I can fully support the baby myself.

Well my son is about to be 3 in a few weeks and I want him potty trained by then. Everytime he tells me he has to pee i take him to the bathroom and take his diapers off and he always pees on the floor as soon as I do that. I don't know if he's being lazy or what but most of the time he just either goes in his diaper or he goes as soon as I change him or take it off. Anyone have any advice to potty train him easier?

I once had a fantasy about having quadruplet girls and naming them after the four substances that make up DNA: Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine.
(they sort of sound like girls' names)

I have a 3 month old son. I don't think we should worry too much about getting him anything other then a couple small things, while she wants to go all out for him. He still cannot hold anything on his own... I would rather wait until next year to start buying things for him. What are the opinions on that subject? Should we go all out for him, or should we wait until next year? If your opinion is yes, what types of gift do you get a 3 month old child? Help me out with this delimna please?

I've read lots of reasons why adoptive mothers have adopted thier children--'always wanted to adopt' or 'couldn't have my own'. One I've read about is odd-Tocophobia.*

"Tocophobia: An abnormal and persistent fear of childbirth.
A phobia is an unreasonable fear that can cause avoidance and panic. Phobias are a relatively common type of anxiety disorder. Phobias can be treated with cognitive behavioral therapy using exposure and fear reduction techniques. In many cases, anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medication proves helpful, especially during the early stages of therapy."

If a person is too afraid/scared of pregnancy and/or childbirth so much that they'd adopt another woman's child, what does that say about her mental health?

Should having tocophobia be a good enough reason to adopt? Or should potentail parents who have 'abnornal' phobias seek treatment instead of expecting kids to 'fix' their mental issues?
