These were literally the first names that came into my head. I don't even like most of them, but I hope it helps anyway! I think if you get the right answer on here, you will know it as soon as you see it. If you understand your characters, you will know what name is right for them, the hard thing is just finding it!
Good luck with the novel, storyline sounds good.

Fellow writer,
The names have to point to the personality of the character. If someone is bad, you name him Chester, Ian, Walter.
If they are good, you name them Benancio, Tyler, Alec, Duncan.
At the same time, if you wish for your novel to be something read by people now and 20 years from now, you have to use classic names, or you'll be dating your novel. For instance, Peggy Sue would bring you right to 1955-65, right? So you need lasting names.
Kathleen Cromwell (strong, steps up to the plate, wants to follow Daniel's wishes)
Daniel Robbins (poor victim)
Laura Ritter Robbins (another poor victim, although she stands up for her child in all things).
Noelle Robbins (sweet, but resistant to change)
Sara Straussberg (I have no idea of her personality)
Michael McKennon (no idea)
If you are stuck here, it may very well be that you don't know your characters well enough yet. Do a character sketch--physical, mental, reactions, how they affect main character for each character, and make it in-depth. Each character may even need some past memories and history that affect how he/she reacts to the problems set forth in your novel.
I know that this was a really quick synopsis of your plot, but this has all been done before. There has to be something compelling, different, startling about your plot.
Best wishes
Debbie
