I'm driving myself insane wondering. I am on day 32 now of my cycle...still no AF...
I've taken pregancy tests (First Response) every morning now for days, all come up negative, but I keep testing and wondering because it's only been 14 days since we 'tried'.
I'd just figure I was late, but I'm feeling weird - the muscles in my lower stomach feel like they are being stretched and keep twitching. Is this a pregnancy symptom? Am I just late? Would I be producing enough HCG for a pregnancy test to pick it up at 14 days past conception?
Gah, I wish I knew one way or the other if I was pregnant or not.

I'm supposed to test early and often and call the doc ASAP when I get a + because they want to put me on blood thinners right away...Now that some of you are saying you didn't get a + for several weeks I'm getting nervous! Maybe I should get a blood test to find out?

The wait is frustrating, right? If you feel as if your period is coming on, that can be a symptom of pregnancy. You should be able to take a test now, but you're saying you have and they're negative. Doesn't mean anything.
If I were you, just wait until the day your period is supposed to arrive before testing again. Don't waste too much money on tests. Remember, even a First Response test won't show an early positive for something like 60% of women. You may just not have enough hormone in your body yet.
If your period comes and goes, go to the doctor. They can do a blood test that's much more sensitive than a hpt.

I was in the same boat and tried for 5 months. One day I was just sitting there watching tv and decided to do a test because I felt like....I was still 4 days away from getting my period. Guess what, I tested positive...I also used First Response. I would advice you not to waste those tests by testing every day...if you're usually regular with your cycles then there's a good chance that you're pregnant if you havent gotten the period yet. Just wait a few more days to see what happens. Good luck to you!

It's possible either way. Just keep testing! (I use the Equate tests from Walmart--they're MUCH cheaper but still more sensitive than a lot of name-brand HPTs.) Also, when they say that the tests aren't accurate until 4 weeks, that's the official 4th week of your pregnancy, which begins on the first day of your cycle, not the day of ovulation or conception.
The other thing is, are you positive about your date of ovulation? Do you use the fertility awareness method? If not, I would recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler.

A friend of mine works at a Dr's office and she says for at home pregnancy tests, it won't pick up the hormone until atleast 4 weeks, anything before that, you would have to have a blood test to have your HcG ranges checked. When we tried to get pregnant with my son, I took my last BC pill on a saturday so on sunday we started trying. By the following saturday, I started feeling like my breasts were sore. I bought an AHP test and it came back positive! So, I was thinking I must only be about 2 weeks pregnant. Then, my friend said it's not possible to pick up the HcG level so soon on an at home test and I must be further along. I get to the doctor only to find out when I thought I was 2 weeks along, I was already 7 weeks! So much for the pill! It all worked out, though. I completely went off the subject here.......

I think we all wish their was an early way to tell if we are preggers. I have read in many books that you should wait until you are at least six weeks to test, for every woman it is different.
Sometimes it can take longer so I wish you luck!

Today is the day your period is due (if you conceived on the 14th day). If you don't get your period today, test tomorrow with your first morning urine. You can test any time of the day, but the morning urine is stronger.
