I know the answer just want your opinion why do you personally get spanked?

I'm not totally against every spanking a child, but too many people do it because they know no other way to respond to a child not doing what they want them to do. Alot of times the child just needs to get needs met and needs to learn how to respond differently. Some kids are never really helped with spankings or become more rebellious. Some kids will cooperate if you just intellectualize it for them and help them feel control over their situation by giving them appropriate options.
So, while I don't personally spank, I would never say no parenat should ever spank. It's just that a lot of parents are ignorant of the subtleties of child development, the differences in children, and the difference between true rebelliousness and just being a kid. For that reason, the world would probably be a better place if no one spanked. But, in and of itself it's not evil.
I guess I would only spank for reasons of safety of people, animals or things. But, I don't spank. My child needed a safe environment, close supervision, lots of patience and mentoring, etc. And, he's a top scholar with great behavior almost all the time. He's not perfect, but he's not grown up yet, and...
Guess what! Adults aren't perfect either, and getting spankings probably wouldn't make us perfect!

I was bad as a little girl...I would always be doing something I wasn't supposed to do. Or arguing with my brother. Now that I think about it, I didn't get spanked as much as I think. My parents THREATNED to spank me a lot..but never came through with it most of the time.My dad hits me now when I bother him. But I just laugh and keep on bothering him. I run from my mom because I know she won't do it. But now I just get things taken away from me!

I've gotten spanked before for being bad, but I don't get spanked anymore.

When you're 23 you just get spanked because you like it. ;) I never got spanked as a kid and I think it's wrong to do to your kids.

I get spanked with 1000 swats with a car antenna daily. It causes me pleasure and I like it. You will get past the pain after 30 swats and your butt numbs and then the pleasure starts.

I don't when I use too it was because I was naughty but here it's called smacked bum and spanked is meant in a dirty way.

i have 10 kids
and ive never spanked one of them
i dont belive in that
just a firm punishment and a time does well for my kids

I got my asss tore up for stepping out of line on the big things, lieing, stealing and making the fool mistake of back talking. I am 30 now and I am glad that my parents loved me enough to whoop me.
