If your not in your 3rd trimester DO NOT GET ONE. They do not work until your baby is bigger and his or her heart is strong enough for you to hear through that. I bought one at 15 weeks cause the outside of the package didn't say anything like that when I got home and listened it didnt work whe I read the instructions it said won't work until your 3rd trimester

I bought the Bebe Sounds. I'm currently 2 days away from 40 weeks and still haven't found the heartbeat on the doppler.

No, haven't tried it. But I used my husband and he could always get the baby's heartbeat by laying his ear on my tummy, and he'd repeat the rhythm to me, and I'd time it to make sure it was a normal rhythm (110-170).

When I had kids, we didn't have home dopplers. If Mom wanted to listen, she needed a stethescope.

Congratulations!!!

the cheap ones don't work well, if at all. i rented a medical one for $25 a month from bellybeats.com They had amazing cusomer service and it arrived on my doorstep 2 days after I ordered it (and I am inCanada!). I loved it. It was amazing, when you have a fall or hte baby hasn't moved in a while, that thing puts you right at ease
