Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 December 2007

Ok I have an aunt who has 2 kids and she lets them see anything they want. I know they are not my kids and well she's not irresponsible and they live in a very good neighborhood. Is there something wrong with me worrying about them? The boy is 8 and the girl just turned 10. I mean is this the reason kids wana have sex at younger age with every generation? am 19 and am like.... Whats up with that? have you guys seen the first chucky movie, thats their favorite. Including fredy vs jason and a lot of any movie you can think of. most ofthem get very sexually graphic? well i know my english is bad i just wanted to know if you guys think am exaggerating, kids should be treated like kids right? she cares more about her furniture then her kids, she wouldnt even let me play monopoly on the living room table.

would you take off your childs door if there were younger siblings in the house who wouldnt knock on the frame before entering?
And the older child used their room to change clothes and went after their shower to put clothes on.

Would you risk the younger child walking in on the older child?

Im only asking because this happened to me when I was younger. Im a girl and I have a younger brother who still doesnt like to knock.

I was wondering how strict parents are with their teen(14-18) girls clothing choices.
What are your rules and what do you allow and not allow and why?
And how many of you still pick out their clothes, like everything they have is something YOU picked and approved?
Also any parents on here have kids that dress goth, punk, emo, skater and what are your feeling on how they dress?

Havana
Pros-where my moms side of the family is from
Cons-I dont like Hannah, Vana, and dont want her to be called Havana Banana and I dont have a choice for a nick name

Madison
Pros-I like the nick name Maddy
Cons-No significant meaning other than I just happen to like the name

OK - SO - just wanting to do a poll to see where everyone's babies sleep. Do you co-sleep, same room their bed, their bed in their room? I have wait until my medicaid goes through before I can go to the doctor so I wanted to see if I could get some input. I previously had a miscarriage alittle over a year ago....I'm 9 weeks pregnant now and have lost most of my morning sickness...and I'm getting moderate cramping and lower back pain. No bleeding or spotting of any kind though like before. Should I be worried or is this normal?

her last period was on 15th of nov. and finished after 7 days forward, now we should count 21 or 28 days after the period finished? we r in 15 th of dec and not yet got the period time,when is the normal date to get the period time and when is the max. date we shall wait? we made pregnancy test but result is not pregnant? after which date we have to check with a doctor? we had sex on 7th of dec. and the condom was blown off and no pills taken but i didnt ejaculate only pre-ejaculation touched inside, what will be the possibility to be pregnant? I am 37 weeks and I can see and feel my stomach going up and down and it feels as if I am seeing and feeling the baby practice breathing is this possible??Am I just weird and this is just movement... to me it really does seem like breathes... and then it stops,sometime's it will start over again about 10 minutes or more.. its not the HICCUPS I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE with those and this... please any advice...

I'm 13 and my bra size is 34DD. Boys stare at them all day, and make very inappropriate comments. I'm only in 7th grade, and I don't know what to do, they ask me to "jump up and down" for them and I find it rude. They will also laugh at me and it makes me unconvertible. I haven't dealt a whole lot with really little kids before in regards to buying them stuff. Now my boyfriend's sister has a little guy, he's about a year and a half old, really sharp and intelligent kid.

We're getting him a Christmas gift. Problem is, when looking at the toy stores and such, all the good stuff is for kids older than him!

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a little boy of that age for something he'll really enjoy and will hopefully have some educational value as well. (Also, preferably not real expensive. Student income isn't much haha). I could google toys for that age range but...I prefer people personal and idividual opinions on things like this.

tonight coming home from work about 10:35pm i passed some one in a place where i thought was a passing zone because he was going to slow (not even the speed limit) and i had a really bad night and wanted to go home....about an hour later i get a call from the police saying he just got off the phone w/ my dad ( its my dads car i was driving) and the guy i passed was an OFF DUITY officer in his personal car he said i passed him and passed other cars blah blah blah...and he is gonna be a nice guy and write me 1 ticket for passing in a none passing zone and not the 7 other tickets he could write me for speeding, wreak less driving, wreakless endangerment, passing in a non passing zone etc etc...
he only got my lic place because he ran it when he got to work

im freaking out because he lied to my dad and i think my dad is mad

the doctor isnt open until monday, is there anything to worry about? i can feel it in her chest when i pat her back and when she crys. she sounds almost like she wheezes when she breathes .. it sounds mucousy. What should i do?

Hi everybody, my baby is 2 months and a half and we are planning a trip to salt lake city,utah for december 26th, we are driving.We live in Los Angeles and the weather here is variable but I know that in utah is really cold and it's snowing my brother lives there and we are visiting for a week,will it be too cold if I take my baby ? I am worried that he will get really sick,he got his first shots already but I don't know what to do. Any advice is appreciate.thanks!

Did anyone have this type of problem?...my daughter will not sleep on her back no matter what. She has been sleeping in her bouncer because when she was a newborn she had that acid reflux and we were told to let her sleep in the bouncer. (it's a papasan vibrating seat) Also as a new mom you know that when you are sleep deprived that whatever it takes to get them to sleep more than 20 min you do it. Well she sleeps really well in her seat but now she is almost 4 months and I have been struggling to get her in the crib. At first I put the bouncer in the crib because she would wake up literally every half hour on her back and so I just gave up and put her in the seat. I just don't know how to get her to sleep on her back. She wakes up at 5 am and she takes a 15 or 20 min nap then she is awake for the whole day and then she will sleep for maybe an hour in the afternoon, sometimes in her bouncer or on my chest ( just so I can get sleep) and then she goes to bed at 9 and wakes at midnight...
