Another significant con to the name Madison is that it is insanely popular right now. We always say we want a "unique" name for our baby, unlike Jennifer or Bob or something every other kid had when we were growing up. We forget that now there aren't that many Jennifers and Bobs. The ones that seem "unique" to us, like Aidan, Jaden, Ava, and Ella, are the ones that are now overued and not unique at all.

I like Havana better than Madison because it really is different. I also think it is important for names to have some sort of significance or meaning, and it seems like Havana has that for you much more than Madison does.

Good luck!

Rather than Havana, perhaps you would like Eve Anne, Evonna or Ivonne. If you like Madison, maybe you would like Madelyn Yvonne. It could also be spelled Madeleine, Madolyn, Madeline. I recently heard the name Vianna and thought that was pretty, too. I do like Madelyn Yvonne. It sounds flowing and pretty and has the nickname you like. Best wishes!

I like Havana. You could call her Ana or Annie for a nickname.

Madison is too popular. What about Madelyn? You could still call her Maddy, but it would be a more classic name.

Madison is very popular, and means "son of Maude." That makes it, in fact, a boy's name.

Havana is marginally better than Madison, but not by much at all. I would try to think of some more choices.

with the political tension between the USA and Cuba...
I wouldn't pick "Cuban cities for 500"
even if Vana White WAS turning the letters, Alex!
