1 : It's NOT in your stomach, but the womb
2 : Don't stress on clothes until you start to "show" you'll soon know, then wear wider clothing

It's still probably down in your pelvis. It doesn't start raising up in your abdomen until the end of the first trimester. I had to start wearing bigger pants at about 16 weeks, but am just now actually fitting into the maternity stuff (22 wks).
You just need to start wearing other things as it gets uncomfortable. Every woman's different...
You could also use some tricks, like looping a rubber band around the button and through the button hole if your regular pants start getting snug, then just wear longer shirts to cover up the top of your pants. I did this for a while, worked fine.
Also, there are a lot of reasons you could be feeling like you're getting bigger...your uterus is starting to get bigger than it was, and is pushing all your other guts up slowly as it grows, which will eventually make your waist thicker, which sucks. But must happen. :)
But more likely, you're increasing the amount of blood in your body--in the first trimester, your blood volume will be 30-40% higher than pre-pregnancy. Don't worry about weight gain unless your doctor is concerned. Now is the time when the baby's forming its vital organs, and you want to make sure it's getting all the nutrients it needs to be healthy...just make sure you're getting good quality nutrition.

At 5-6 weeks your baby is well between your hips in your uterus. You *might* start pooching out a little now, but more than likely it's water gain and gas. It's possible too to have it be weight gain...in which case, you would need to reduce your calories as that would be too much of a gain in that little time. Anyway, wear your regular clothes until it's not comfortable. Some people buy those Bella Bands which are like tube tops that you wear over your pants' waist so that you can wear your pre-pregnancy pants unzipped.

The baby is still very tiny, in the uterus. You probably don't have much, if any, stretching of the uterus going on yet. As far as wearing different pants, it probably wouldn't hurt to have some other pants on hand, but I wouldn't wear them until your normal ones are getting tight. If your belly isn't growing yet, why wear maternity clothes? Besides, this may be the last few weeks of wearing your normal size clothes for a few YEARS!! lol... That's how it went for me..lol. Good luck!

He or she is in your uterus, not your stomach. Considering how tiny they are at this stage, he/she is probably near the top of your uterus where the umbilical chord is attached to the placenta. I didn't need to start wearing maternity clothes until I was about 10-12 weeks along.

I think it is really what you prefer, I have a really small body type and I am exactly 9 wks, I catch myself wearing sweats or comfy pajamas, I also tend to undo my button on my pants when i am just sitting around, sometimes even the zipper, its all on what makes you comfortable. Each girls body is different. I wish you the best!

your baby is an embryo right now....ask your doctor to locate it on the ultrasound
wearing jeans right now shouldn't hurt anything because you are probably barely showing if at all
congrats!!

See below images they may help. The baby is really low down and very small. the only reason to wear different pants is for your comfort. You'll do great. Congrats on the pregnancy.
