The Morning After Pill (or Plan B) is a hormone based pill taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex to PREVENT pregancy. The Abortion Pill (Mifipristone, RU-486) is a pill taken after a women is already pregnant as an alternative to a traditinal abortion.

I have been seeing many posters in here tell young teenage girls not to take the Morning After Pill because they will be aborting their baby. This is simply not true. The morning after pill is a way to PREVENT unwanted pregancy after the fact.

Besides, if you are a mother I would hope you understand that implantation does not occur right after sex, it can take days. Which is why the Morning After pill must be taken within 72 hours...

anyone have any opinions? i'm nervous about slipping and falling, but i also work at a professional office and don't want to look like a total slob. also, something that will work if my feet and ankles swell a lot. i was thinking maybe uggs as i would wear them after the baby, but how are they on ice?

I read about this in 1 of my pregnancy groups but it was only mentioned once and i thought it was an interesting concept. So instead of wearing maxipads after giving birth, some women have just worn Depends undergarments ( like the ones used for older people's incontinence)
Has anyone else ever heard of this or done this themselves?

I hear people saying stuff like, I am having a water birth, or I am going to squat, or whatever. Those options just are not available where I live. The hospitals to not accomodate it and there are no doulas or midwives. I don't really care one way or the other, I have had two the "old fashioned way" but I am just curious if this is just in my area or if other places don't have options. I would like to try a water birth but I don't mind doing it the same way I already have.

Needless to say my husband and I were shocked to find out my son's gf is Pregnant. Then to find out she has other issues that she was embarassed to tell anyone. What exactly can happen . Her mom, don't seem to want to talk to us to give us the true story on this. I feel like we are being left out in the cold on most of this and our lawyer said we can't do anything about it because of privacy laws.

She has cancer and is going through chemo. I want to comfort her but also keep my sanity. She is always attached to me by mouth. I am trying to keep everything as stable as possible for her. But on the other hand she is going to mess my milk up and I can not walk around in public like this.

My husband is 34 and I am 30. We have a 4 year old son and a 1 year old son. We want to have a big family. My husband wants to try for a 3rd one now, but I want to wait at least 2-3 years or wait until my oldest is in school. He thinks that if we wait any longer that he will be too old to be a dad. I don't know what goes through his head. How do I convince him to wait??

2 months ago I missed my period. 1 month ago (4.5 weeks ago) I had a HCG blood test done to confirm pregnancy and it came back saying 4-5 weeks.

So that would mean I'm 8-9 weeks now cuz that was a month ago.

I had an ultrasound a couple days ago and the technician said it looks more like 4 weeks and it's just a small sac only 1cm.

Why would this be? is my baby maybe not alive? did it form at all? or maybe there is no baby...just a sac?

I don't understand....

I have not had bleeding....only minor spotting. This is my first pregnancy. Yes I will goto the doctor...just asking here for now...

Any input welcome please and thank you!!
