Why parents spend hundreds of dollars on their childs 1st, 2nd, 3rd birthdays? Or their 4th for that matter? Why spend all that money on a birthday party they aren't going to remember? I know a woman who spent hundreds on her kids 1st birthday and even hired a dj?!! Thoughts?

I wouldn't since I think it sends the wrong message. I was considering maybe if she was old enough to understand adoption, but at that point, she whould be old enough to understand inducing lactation too.

What are your thoughts?

How do you decide which is your FMU? I get up about every two hours and never sleep more than that. Don't get me wrong I'm tired all the time. But I just can't stay asleep.

I keep getting BFP's on my HPT's but when I got the blood test it was negative. So could there be a chance that Well I'm not entirely sure what I'm asking with this one.. so i'll just stick with

If you don't sleep more than 2 hours at a time and you are always drinking some sort of beverage (not alcohol) how do you know when is the accurate time for FMU?

My parents treat me like they are my friends and I am used to getting treated the same as adults but whenever I go to school or something I get yelled at at an adult who demands all the respect in the world. AKA my princaple and my neighbor...
- MY neighbor says I am destructing public property and that she is going to call the cops if I keep it up (I am not even doing anything!! There are other kids that do it but not me!!)
- MY princaple keeps on telling me to listen to the adults because they deserve more respect than I do or something..

IS IT OK FOR ME TO WANT TO TEAR THERE HAIR OUT!!!?? Why do adults demand so much respect!?

i am ttc, august was my last month taking bc. at first my cycles were longer than usual, about 35 days. then the past couple months the were 30 days .. i thought they were regulated.. then this month i was supposed to start saturday and i didnt. that would have been day 30. i still havent started but i do know it is coming, i feel all the symptoms. that disappoints me cause it means my cycles are not regular.. mid cycle i feel what seems like ovulation pain and cramps and then i cramp on and off till my period. sometimes intense and always on the right side. does this mean i am going to have a hard time concieving, does it mean i am not ovulating..

Maybe I am missing something here, but I just don't understand how you safely transition from a crib to a toddler bed. Right now my son is 23 months, in a crib with a mesh tent over it because he can climb out (since 16 months). His bedroom is upstairs and ours is downstairs. If we let him sleep in a bed where he is not confined, won't he get up and run around all night? I don't allow him to run around the house unsupervised now, why would that be okay at night? We have stairs that are gated. He can open doors and climb over baby gates with ease. And I suppose we can't lock him inside his room for fire reasons. This just sounds like a fiasco. I don't even know how to go about this. Please help and share your ideas on how to keep him safe while getting him into a bed.

I babysit a 17 month old and he doesnt walk or talk yet. He doesnt even say dada or ball.. nothing at all. He just moves his hands around alot looking at them. He reminds me of a 8 or 9 month old baby. my daughter is 6 months and says dada an ma ma. My 2 yr old seems like he is 4. I kno every child developes different but it just dont seem right to me that this child is not saying anything.. What could be the problem. His parents are getting him checked next week for autism.

I called the vet this morning because I woke three times last night to my dog vomiting. Each time good amounts of chewed up plastic from a infant pacifier and the silicone nipple that was still whole came up. I called the vet because from what I saw I think there is still one part of the binky missing and may be in her belly still. They told me to watch her very closely and she may have already began to digest it. They said unless she is not eating, drinking or acting 'normal' she may be ok and to try and check her stools. I am still VERY concerned. She seems to be fine other than still tired this morning, but I cant blame her because she was up most of the night vomiting. Does anyone know the odds of her pooping this out IF it is in there at all..

Im toattly for it. It isn't killing babies why would you want to bring a baby into this world that the person obviously cant take care of or isnt ready for. If no one had abortions and everyone just neglected there babies, or put them in adoption think of how ****** up the kids would be when they grow up. Not saying adoption isbad, cause its not.

My husband and I live with my elderly parents w/DS (6 mo). My in laws have only visited twice (during DS's first 2 weeks of life) and always expect us to go there. I compromised and said we'd visit once a month (it's a 20 minute commute but my husband and I both work and I have errands to run on the weekends), sleeping over like they want us to.
But now I'm fed up with it because they NEVER come visit us. They claim they're not comfortable in our small apt. and want more than a few hours with DS. My husband sides with his family. BUT I'm fed up bc when we're there, they're always busy getting ready for a party, to head out, to go to a friend's house, etc. They only spend an hour or two with DS anyways when we're there for a full weekend!
I find it rude and disrespectful that they should do this to us. How can I get my husband to understand how unfair this is? I've tried talking to him about it but he doesn't get it.
