My daughter is 5 months and I am literally wrapping up some of the toys I got at her baby shower that she hasn't played with and letting her open those. But only a couple. She has no idea what is going on. She doesnt understand the concept of gifts, so even that is just more to make US feel like she is taking part.
She will play with the crumpled paper and it will be way more exciting than some fancy toy. That's the joy of being so young...it doesnt take much.

Congratulations on your first Christmas. :)
At three months, my son loved gyms with lights and music, and his Rainforest jumperoo. He also enjoyed being read to.
At 7 months, he still enjoys his Rainforest gym (although he won't stay on his back under it anymore - the boy is all about his tummy) and he still likes his Jumperoo, although it has taken a back seat to an Exersaucer. He also enjoys being read to (we read usually 2-3 times daily).
So, you can't go wrong with books or a toy with lights and music that will grow with her.
Hope you enjoy your first Christmas together.

Ask her...many human beings say no longer something to do with infant like parfume or a luxery gown or possibly a masasge or present certificates to a salon. even regardless of the undeniable fact that I continuously have needed the extravagent infant issues whilst i'm pregnant for Christmas or my Birthday, you comprehend the one hundred greenback bouner that hubby says no thank you to, I tell my mom to get me. It relatively relies upon on the mum, she would be able to even like a contemporary card to Macys or Pea in a pod or Motherhood to get Maternity positioned on in the event that they seem to be slightly tight on funds

I have a 4-month old and her biggest gift is a deposit into her college fund. Other then that, maybe a suction cup toy for her high chair tray. And a ball that vibrates and bounces.

She will not understand so while she is young and has no clue of how much you buy save your money for when she is older and thinks she needs everything in the world. Buy her a new toy or something. Nothing big she has no clue

How about a small, soft, organic cotton doll? These are just the right size for a baby learning to grab things, and are safe for her to put in her mouth.

My kids were both around that age at their first Christmas. I didn't get them much, because they weren't aware of it, but I did get them things like teething rings, rattles, etc. If you don't already have one, get one of those baby gyms, that you lay them under. It has different things hanging down for the baby to reach for, and kick. My kids were fascinated with theirs.

Buy her things she needs...that is what I did with my son on his first Christmas. When people asked what they should buy him I told them diapers and wipes or clothes...Of course I did buy him a couple of toys but it was more for me than him because he will never know!
