It sounds pretty normal. Many babies do some sort of little "hair rubbing" or even "breast stroking" while nursing. I think she's self-soothing, which is great! Doing it in her high chair makes me think it's a habit she associates with eating. Mention it at her 1-year check-up to be sure, but most both of mine did something similar to that, though not in the high chair.

yes. its the itching of the scalp. this is caused by the growing hair and the flaking of the scalp. this flake is mostly composed of "dirt" that the head picked up from the birth canal during birth. my eldest lost almost all her hair at that age due to constant pulling because of this itch. the thicker the hair during birth, the worse it gets.
use mild baby shampoo and warm water every bath and rinse properly to avoid further accumulation and alleviate some of the itching.
as for the head banging, just make sure the child doesn't get hold of anything that could seriously injure her.

A 10 minute systematical examination wouldn't hurt, but my opinion based on having 5 younger brothers and sisters is that it's all normal. Psychologically explained, babies at that age have difficulties distinguishing between themselves and the rest of the world, so they're trying to see where "they" end, and where "the rest" begins.

She's probably just exploring her self, or just doesn't realize she is doing it. My 2 1/2 month old does it all the time, he even smacks himself in the face too.. poor thing. Most of the time he doesn't realize it, but sometimes he'll start crying and I just hold him, until he pretty much forgets about it I guess. I really wouldn't be worried, but if you are because I know how that is, just tell his doc.

its pretty normal, as long she is not hitting herself so hard that she runs the risk of injuring herself
babies and toddlers do have a tendency to wrap their hair in their hands and tug on it, and they also will tap themselves in the head, rock back and forth or even try to bite themselves
all 3 of my kids went through this stage and then they just grew out of it, it just gradually happened less and less, until the behavior stopped altogether
if your child begins (or is currently) showing any signs of behavior that may be harmful to herself, then let her doctor know right away (such as if she is hitting herself to hard or pulling chunks of hair out)

You shoule be kinda worried. I mean, it's normal when it doesn't happen as often, but if it is too concurrent, you should check if something happened to her. Something that you might don't know of, like, maybe she fell hard in your absence or something like that.

It is normal for babies to hit themselves - especially with toys! I don't know why they do this - I suppose its just them finding out about themselves.
