you normally cant tell. there are no clear cut signs of a pedophile.
one thing is does the person have an unhealthy obsession with kids. does loads of thing with kids and finds ways to be alone with young kids
this is hard to explain. i have been the victim of child molestation another thing is weird hands,
dont base this accusation on a dream
try not to worry dreams are often false and a manifestation of the subconscious mind. talk to him and go to the site below type in his name

Dreams do not automatically make him a child molester.
But to answer your question, there are many people who have pedophile tendencies are not "caught" until they are "caught." For example, there is a true story about a young man on death row now, who had previously been charged with child sex abuse, but was eventually released... he then befriended a family, and pretended to be a journalist... seemed innocent enough, but eventually took their 11 year old son, raped him and then killed him.
If your boyfriend enjoys being around kids, it does not automatically make him a child molester. But, if you have a "gut instinct," telling you he might be... there must be a reason for your becoming suspicious. I'd love to say it's as easy as setting up a hidden camera, while he's got children under his care. But it's not always that easy.
I am serious when I say, if you are worried about it, maybe talk to someone in authority, someone you find who is trustworthy, and tell them why you feel the way you do. There must be a reason you feel this way.
I pray you find out the truth in the matter, one way or the other!
God bless you in that endeavor.

well a dream is a dream and shouldnt be looked at as reality but if you want signs then here ya go
CHARACTERISTICS OF MOLESTERS :
Can have adult sex partners, but children are primary sex object.
Have lifestyles which give them easy access to children.
Target specific gender, age, hair and eye color.
Use threats to manipulate and control victims - or bribe them with gifts, love or promises to lure victims into their confidence before victimization takes place.
May commit first offense when in teens.
Continue behavior even after conviction and treatment.
Are mostly males, but females also molest.
May video or photograph sexual activity with children to exchange with other molesters and/or shame child into not telling anyone of the abuse.
Some molesters network with pornographers and their pictures are used for commercial child pornography. Pictures are also traded with others interested in sex with children and become part of the cottage child pornography industry.
ATTITUDE OF MOLESTERS
Have no trouble legitimizing their actions, but may demonstrate remorse if arrested although they actually see nothing wrong with what they have done.
Have no thought for the emotional/physical impact on a child.
Blame the child for wearing inappropriate clothes, acting in a certain way, or say that because the child did not resist they consented.

If you have any proof you go with that...If you are wise you will have to keep a good eye out for trouble.
I have known many and they just do not look like you would think they would. Just regular men... Two of them were Bums,One was mentally Ill. and one was a minister.
When my sisters and I were growing up we had a bunch of girlfriends that lived close. So we would go visit but I learned real quick that I did not want to visit that home again when the father is home... It was pretty common for friends dads try to make a play for a 13 year old.......
So even if your suspicions are wrong you are not wrong to wonder or speak with your children in a loving manner and just ask them. Not repeatedly just once...Did your Dr. explain to your kids what improper touching is? Ours did.

I've always been told, where there's doubt then don't. The reoccuring thought is more than just a notion. You should continue to listen to your sixth sense but at the same time watch and listen to warning signs. I would also cleverly stage some scenarios to provoke conversations with him on his view of children. You can never be too cautious especially at the expense of your child's safety.
