I would say there is a higher rate of pregnancy among those not using any protection...
But using protection is never 100%....and it's very common for those using protection to become pregnant, too...

According to statistics, half of all pregnancies are unplanned. Many people (Catholics, Mormons, etc.) don't use birth control and would still fall in that category.
One thing that many people are unaware of (I certainly was) was that they lowered the level of estrogen in birth control pills some years ago to make them safer. As a result, if you forget to take them, even 5 or 6 hours late, you potentially can become pregnant. Birth control pills are less effective on certain women as well, including overweight/obese women. Also, while no studies have been out, some OTC supplements and herbals may also interfere with birth control pills.
Finally, some women take Loestrin, which is known to be less effective birth control pill. While it does work, there will be more 'failures'. Women who take Leoestrin generally have problems with stronger dosages of estrogen.

Not all birth control methods are 100% effective but there are so many variables that can happen. Then there are just the people who refuse to practice safe sex at all. Mainly abstinace is the best policy, but being as safe as you can should prevent pregnancies.

Of course no birth control- even a badly used apparatus has a better chance of working than nothing.

Statistically, it would make sense that no protection would result in a higher pregnancy rate. Improper protection is still something, after all.

I'd imagine lack of protection judging by the majority of posts on YA.

most people just dont give a **** wheather they get pregnant or not...............but the ones that do care......probably just tryed to use the "pull out" method..........although i have heard of people getting pregnant while on the pill or ****.......but i would say the main reason people get pregnant is b/c they are careless......
