Not unless you are drugged up or have a high tolerance of pain...

Really depends on the person.
Consider this. Many women shriek at the sight of a mouse. I have never screamed in my life over anything. Personality has a lot to do with how people react. Also, position may as well. For instance, in most accounts of American ndian women giving birth, they rarely made a sound. That is true in many cultures. What all these cultures had in common was that women gave birth in a squatting position. Rarely done here unless you have a homebirth.
I was in labor for 23 hours, but labor was never that bad. I ended up with a c-section, so didn't actually go through the final stage of birth.

Yes it is. I had an epidural with my second who was a vbac, and it didn't work. I don't consider myself to have a very high tollerance for pain, but why waste all of that energy on screaming when you can put it to good use to get through the labor. I suggest a good person for support and comfort. Also, let me add they thought my c-section scar tore during labor, and I was throwing up from the epidural during the labor. So, therefore it is possible. I thought I would be screaming and kicking but I focused and was very quiet and proud in the end :) hope this helps.

yes it is possible.. the only time i cried was when my little baby was in my arms the minute after she was born. I was so elated. I smiled throughout my delivery (without a tear and without screaming in pain) and I have it on video to prove it.
If you have an epidural, it will eliminate most of the pain of the contractions and delivery..the most pain I felt was after the epidural wore off a couple of hours later.. . Everyone is different though. Our bodies are different, our tolerances are different and we all react differently to everything. But from my experience, I know it is possible, because i did it.

With my first son I was determined not to yell and I did great. No epidural and completely natural, I whined a few times and tears flowed here and there, but I never yelled UNTIL the dr said "Oh, I look like first time Dr, I forgot to turn the baby." He came out broad shouldered and tore me. Required 34 stitches on the inside and 20 on the outside.. But it is possible.. Just breath..
It helps..

Yes, I've done it twice. Actually making a lot of noise and yelling and screaming makes your pushing less effective. I usually cry- just tears, not a bunch of whining- because it takes the stress away for some reason. It made my husband really upset to see me just crying with no sound but it makes me feel better so that is what I do.

Yes, I have had four natural using the Bradley method and I only made some noise with the first one and that was only during the crowning.
My second one was born in the car. My two year old was in the front seat and she had no idea that I was in any pain.

yes, i've actually seen a LOT of videos of natural birth (using the Bradley Method) and most of them did not cry out in pain... several made low groaning sounds, but crying out was very rare. i've even heard testimonials from people saying how they wouldn't even describe the feeling as "pain" really... that it's got a much different quality than pain that they couldn't describe as anything but "intense"... but that it didn't "hurt"

In my own experience-only if they had made me unconscious.I had an epidural, but it had worn off, when it was time to deliver.Mine were also both induced-one 6wks early. First one only made noise as she was coming out-second - The second (preclasmia)6 wks early-it was sooo bad, I was too busy praying, moaning & begging -I don`t know if I screamed or not.

i did not have an epidural and i did not cry or scream during birthing... depends on your pain threshold and your focus on the task at hand

Sure, get an epidural as soon as the doc lets you. I went for hours and hours without one with my first and it was the worst pain I've ever experienced. I'm not sure why I want to torture myself, but I'm going to try going all natural this time.
