If it is normal teething, once the tooth erupts will I have to worry about infection? I brush his teeth daily with an infant tooth brush. Sometimes with infant tooth paste, sometimes with just water. I'm worried. I haven't heard anyone talk about this before?

Yes its normal. Partly because molars are so much bigger and harder to get in, and partly because he will chew on things and bruise his gums trying to ease the pain- even if its just his finger.

It is normal, and they will not effect his health. :)

totally normal! it won't get infected, trust me. It looks terrible, and is very painful for them actualy. use some tylenol and some baby orajel directly on the spot.
