I've started to wean my 13 month old but it hasn't been easy..
I've gradually cut 3 times a day feedings to just 1 at night.

He has a milk allergy so he can't have cow's milk. I've tried different types of soy milk but he won't take them. I've tried juices but he still wont take any of it.. For some reason he'll take water but that just won't cut it nutrition wise.

Is there anything I can do so he will take more fluids?

I have two daughters, 2 mon. and 20 mon. My older daughter likes to dance and swim, so I enrolled her ballett and swimming. She loved both classes and the instructors were nice in both classes expecially in swimming.

My daughter recently got tubes put in her ears and needs to have theese special ear plugs in her ears when she goes swimming and is very allergic to strawberries. Well when I told the swimming instructor since they give out snacks after lessons what she was allergic to and told her about the ear plugs, she nodded.

I come back to her swimming lesson to pick her up and I see my daughter eating strawberries! I grabbed her hand, made her spit out the strawberry she had in her mouth and marched up to the instructor. I said "Why was Lily eating strawberries!! I told you she was highly allergic."

The instructor's response? "Oh you were just making that up."

MAKING IT UP??? I was not! Luckily she has no deadly reaction BUT her ears hurt. She said they took out her

About 3 days ago my 11 month old son started shaking his head from side to side through out the day I was worried it was because he was autism or has tourettes, So I took him to the Dr She said she thinks its just a behavioral thing but to me i still fee weird about it. I have seen other kids do things over and over like rock back and forth ect never shake there head. I don't know if im over reacting being a first time mom, Does anyone have any answers to help easy my mind.

I am almost 32weeks pregnant and just had my regular check up!the doctor told me to make an ultrasoundappointment, cause its seems the baby is a little small for my week.he said it might be because I am tall (5.7) and so maybe its just seems smaler, cause is has more room!
I am still a little worried, was would I expect if the baby is just smaler, could there be complication for my last weeks?

Okay, I'm pregnant with my second child. My first was a girl and the shower was after her birth due to her being premature. This one is a boy, with a possibility of being premature. We have most BIG items (ie crib, mattress, swing, car seat, etc.) but have NOTHING when it comes to boy clothes. 1. is it appropriate to throw a more casual baby shower for this child? 2. is it inappropriate for us to throw it or should we hint to family for the shower? 3. If we hint to family for shower, what is a discrete way of going about it. Need You Help!

I am doing this program (it is due by Christmas time) where I adopt-a-family for Christmas. 2 girls and buying for the mom. One girl is 3 and the other is 12.

I am giving them each 3 books (inculding mom), 4 toys or games (the mom will get a CD player and CDs instead), clothes, and a bathroom basket they can have there stuff inside it and the basket has there name on it.

Any ideas on what clothes, toys, and bathroom supplies they will each need? I also want to do a joint-gift. What could it be? And for the 12 year old should I add sanitary products in her bathroom basket?

Any suggestions on how to break the news to my boss that i am pregnant? I love my job and have every intention of getting right back to work after the baby's born. I just can't seem to formulate the right words in my head, so as not to throw him into a panic. She told me last night that sometimes she feels like I don't love her. This is not the first time she has said it but she doesnt say it often, this might be the 3rd time. When i ask her what I do that makes her feel this way she can't explain it, says she does not know, it's just how she feels sometimes. Im a single mom who works full time. I am usually home w/ her by 6pm. We spend a LOT of time together. She helps me cook dinner, we have "game night" on Fri nights & play lots of her board games & v-smile system, we go to the park, drive-in, swimming, zoo, etc & stuff like that on weekends & church on Sunday together. We are both very affectionate, there are always lots of hugs and I love you's going back & forth between us. We have a big family & are all very close and hang out together a lot too. When she told me that it was duing a "I got in trouble in school" story which i did not punish her for since the school took care of it (nothing major). What can I do different/better?

With the number of people in the United States that are obese, why are more and more schools eliminating Recess? I personally believe that children need PE every afternoon, Recess every morning, and a rotating scedule of art and music so one is had every day. Even if PE is 15 min, recess is 15 min, and art/music is 30min, it's not cutting into the school day that much and is very beneficial.

What do you think? Besides having healthy school lunches, is it important to have recess and PE?

I'm 22 years old. I have 2 children. a 2 year old & a 5 month old. Before either one of my pregnancies I was 132lbs 5'4 & very athletic. I had a flat stomach & ran track in high school. After my first child I lost all but 4 lbs. so I was 136lbs. Now after my 2nd child, I am 150lbs and 5'5. I would like to atleast get back down to 132lbs but can't figure out how to lose the last 15 or so lbs. I don't have a sitter so I can't just go running like I used to. What exercises can I do to lose my belly fat & hips? Also.. any good meals such as low carb or low calorie foods that help? Should I try lean cuisine? Please help!!!!

i have been having contractions since yesterday around 2 p.m. and went to labor and delivery and dr. sent me home because they weren't strong enough to keep me. i have had a lot of mucous plug coming out since then. i'm 38 weeks and 1 day with my 4th pregnancy. how long does it take for the castrol oil to take effect and how much should i take if my pregnancy weight is 241. does it really work.

Im a first time mother and im wondering...

Ive read that doctors will cut the vagina opening a little so that the birth is easier and that we dont tear. After that, the doctor will stitch u back.
Is it possible to ask the doctor to stitch me up more, as in tighter, so that the vagina opening will be tighter.
Honestly, i dont want to be loose... and i do know that kegal exercises help.
Since im not an expert, can someone tell me... if ur loose to a guy, does that mean the vagina opening is loose? or the inside is loose? I seriously have no idea...?

I have included, baby hooded towels, wash clothes, baby wash, lotions, moisturizer, powder, nail clipper, thermometer, brush and comb, bottles, saline drops, baby detergent, safe cooton swabs, alcohol pads (for umbilical cord cleaning), pacifiers, teether, gas drops...

I think what I really want to know is, is it too much trouble to bother using cloth nappies instead of disposable ones? Do the nappy liners work to prevent too much mess? Do the plastic pants prevent too many leaks? Are they easy to wash? Did you give up in the end?

I don't like the idea of the expense of disposable ones, as well as the fact that they are dreadful for the environment. Is it worth it?

ok so i used to go out wiht this boy named Chris last year and when i was going out wit him he introduced me to his friends. one of them was named Terance. ok so me and terance got a lot closser and we were pretty good friends. then in june me and chris broke up. well i broke up wit him but we kinda desided that we should just be friends. so now me and chris r still good friends.
