Drink lots of water, eat healthy foods in moderation and workout.
I'm also a stay at home mom with no family around to watch my babies and we move so much its hard to really get to know people enough to trust them with my babies. I weighed 120 before I had my first and went right back to that after wards but with my second I had a hard time getting the weight off, so I just started eating healthier foods ( in moderation), drinking only water and low fat milk and I bought some yoga and exercise videos. Dancing is also a great way to get into shape and its a good way to have fun with your kids too! Both of my kids ( 1year & 5years) love to dance with me, its so much fun for all of us.

I'm 23 and 5'4, and I also have 2 kids.
I started out 99 lbs, and ended up 154 lbs 9 months after having my son, I really never lost it all, although I went down to 130 eventually. I went from a size 6 - 16!! BUT, I really didn't do anything, no diet, no exercise etc...
With my daughter, who is now 15 weeks old, I have been doing exercise since 6 weeks after she was born. I have a post-pregnancy exercise video which concentrates on tummy and thighs, the worst areas! I also did the "Special K" diet for 15 days, and then joined Weightwatchers, I'm now just eating healthy, low-fat meals (going by the Weightwatchers point system), and sticking to the exercises every day.
It's really working, I'm down to 123 lbs!
It's different for everyone, but I thought I'd tell you my experience!
*Mummy to Alex, 5, and Encarni, 15 weeks*

drink lots of water and work out. They make jogging strollers so you can still go jogging. Or just walk. When the little ones are napping I do yoga. You can buy DVDs at walmart I love it. Just eat right. Avoid fast food, junk food, sweets, and soda. Lean cuisine is good but can get pricey after a while. I bought a George Forman grill and love it. I can grill fish and chicken I also eat lots of steamed veggies.

You might want to consider investing in a baby jogger. Sometimes you can get reasonably prices used ones from a second hand sporting goods store or a kids consignment shop. That way you can go running and take the kids.

The trick to losing weight is drinking lots of water, then doing something to sweat it out. You could wear extra t-shirt and go to the park and play with your kids...I also bought a cheap jogging stroller from target, and plan to jog at least once a week once my little one gets big enough for it at 3 months. All the people I know who have had real success losing around the middle wrapped themselves in a belt or ace bandage to make them sweat more there..I can't say from personal experience, but this is what I plan to do.
