I have this 1yo son. He keeps crying for food. At the same time, i have so many jobs to deal with. I don't think i can take care of him and my jobs at the same time. But i don't prefer either hiring a baby sitter. What should i do to my baby?"

DH and I BD on cycle days 11, 12, 13, and 14. I believe I ovulated on cycle day 15 or possibly 16 (I check cm but don't temp).

If I did ovulate on/around cycle days 15 or 16, with sex on days 11-14 what would my chances of pregnancy this cycle be? I know that in any given cycle there is a 20-25% chance, but what about when sex is timed correctly? Any higher chance? Also, would are chances of having a girl be higher than of having a boy (Shettles method?)? BTW, my husband and I are both 24 and very healthy.

I know it is way too early to have any symptoms or take a test so I am just trying to get a feel as to whether I can get my hopes up or not. I expect that if I didn't get pregnant, my period should arrive around Sept. 17.

I am taking Evening Primrose Oil capsules. My doctor doesn't approve of Clomid so won't prescribe it for me and I just want to ovulate!! I've been having very irregular periods anyway and have been off the pill for 5 months now. My boyfriend and I are TTC at the moment but don't see eachother a lot as we're both busy and working away sometimes.

my 20 year old daughter always talks but never listens. As a father I wish to give her good future and better education. I suggest her good reading habits, making good friends, mingling with others, good eating habits and expect her to work hard in her studies and also work for alround knowledge. but she doesn't hear me much. she is somewhat tensed personality due to which she develops health problems like gastritis requiring hospitalisation. i regret i am not able to guide her well to my satisfaction so that she could gain good knowledge and excel in life in future

My 6 month old will sometimes take two long daytime naps (1-2 hours each) and sometimes take two short daytime naps (30-45 minutes each).

Her nighttime sleep will be almost 11 hours if she took the short naps, however if she took the long naps then she will only sleep about 9 hours at night.

What's more valuable for her health and development - the daytime sleep or the nighttime?

Should I limit the length of her daytime naps so that she will sleep the longer amount at night? Or should I let her nap as long as she wants during the day even if it means that she lose out on sleep at night?

My daughter is pretty tall for her age, compared to a lot of kids her age. She only weighs around 27lbs. Is this OK. She's my first and a lot of the kids at her daycare are pretty stout so I was just wondering. Plus, she's a finnicky eater. Thanks.

i am 26 weeks pregnant and at the last appointment they said i am having a girl, but at 12, 16, 18, and 20 weeks they said they weren't sure if i was having a boy or girl. I have had a gut feeling since i found out i was pregnantthat this baby would be a boy and even had dreams where they announced it's a boy at birth. i know it's crazy but have any of you had the doctors tell you girl or boy and the baby be the other gender and you just have a gut feeling about it. i can't shake this feeling. I want to buy the baby stuff but i can't every time i pick out something girly i end up putting it back(lol) because it don't feel right. I want to buy the things i know we will need but i don't want my girl wearing blue and a boy wearing pink. LOL

I have a 3 1/2 year old old son who has been potty trained since he was about 1 1/2. Recently though he has been coming in and has either wet or poo'd himself. Obviously we have talked to him and said he'll be going back into nappies if he doesn't stop. Its as if he doesn't want to miss out on anything and would rather just go in his pants. Anyone else had similar troubles or ideas on how to sort this???

Ok...so Nicole Richi is pregnant, Britnany has had 2 kids, and now Paris says she wants to be pregnant next yr....HELLO, KIDS ARE NOT ACCESSORIES....they are driving my nuts...

Nicole can not take care of herself, what about a baby
Britney is just plan crazy, done many things wrong, yet somehow thinks she is a good mother
Paris can not even face consequences w/out acting like a child herself.....

These rich, hollywood kids will probably just throw their kids to a nanny unless there is a chance for a good photo op....give me a break...

What do ya'll think?

My 2-year-old's daycare gives treats every day when the kids leave. When my daughter was old enough, they started giving her a treat as well. At first, it was cute because she was so excited about it. It has steadily gotten a little ridiculous. When I go pick her up, she runs to the treat bowel and says, "treat! I want treat!" She's not a brat about it, but she wants one just like everyone else gets one. Sometimes their treats are not age appropriate for her (gum, hard candy, etc) and it is up to me to tell her no and take her out to the car where sometimes she cries, but most of the time she puts her head on my shoulder and gets really sad, like she can't understand what she did wrong. I also don't want her to be spoiled and expect a treat every day. I think a treat is a TREAT, something you get every now and then. How do I convey this to my child, and how do I determine what days she gets them? If i left it up to her daycare she'd get a treat every day. They can't say no.

My 6 year old daughter is sweet and the type of kid who wants everyone to like her. She told me there is a girl in her class who has been telling her she is ugly and stupid and that a girl in the 8th grade tripped her and laughed. Now I am the kind of mom that if you mess w/ my kids that I end up @ the school etc to find out whats going on and what can be done about it. Sometimes she blows things out of proportion and makes it bigger than it is but it hurts her feelings when kids are mean to her. You tell the teacher and they usually ignore it. I know what I need to do but my husband thinks its time she sticks up for herself but she is afraid of getting into trouble. Its like last year she was always coming home and saying the same thing and I went to the school talked to the assist. principal and nothing changed. When she was sick the school didnt even call me I just happened to go there to visit her during lunch and she said she didnt feel good. They didnt want her to go home.

According to the news, the McCans are going to be interviewed separately, Mrs. McCann today (6th Sept) and Mr. McCann on Monday. I found this article on the net. Who agrees (or disagrees) ?
" What is going on here? -Why haven't the parents been interviewed by social workers? What is going on here?
Is it now legal for British parents to leave their tiny children alone while they go out for fun? It clearly was unsafe to leave these three small children alone. One of them is now missing.
The McCanns chose to go out to have a good time leaving three small children alone in a flat in a foreign country.
These were not impoverished teenagers who didn't know any better. They are thirty-eight-year-old doctors.
What sort of example were they setting? -What sort of example are media commentators who excuse them setting?
Where are the interfering, busy body social workers when they're really needed? " --Please comment.

"seeing" a black man standing in the hall way, (at three, he doesn't have an understanding of race yet) and also complains that "Duddy the fox" who is yellow and has big teeth keeps coming in his room scaring him. Duddy the fox is not a cartoon character he has come in contact with. He is terrified when he he sees these things. She is convinced he is really seeing something. Any ideas?
