According to the news, the McCans are going to be interviewed separately, Mrs. McCann today (6th Sept) and Mr. McCann on Monday. I found this article on the net. Who agrees (or disagrees) ?
" What is going on here? -Why haven't the parents been interviewed by social workers? What is going on here?
Is it now legal for British parents to leave their tiny children alone while they go out for fun? It clearly was unsafe to leave these three small children alone. One of them is now missing.
The McCanns chose to go out to have a good time leaving three small children alone in a flat in a foreign country.
These were not impoverished teenagers who didn't know any better. They are thirty-eight-year-old doctors.
What sort of example were they setting? -What sort of example are media commentators who excuse them setting?
Where are the interfering, busy body social workers when they're really needed? " --Please comment.

gordon 3392 -- Yes they have heard about those things but, like in England, lie-detector test results in Portugal are NOT admissible in a court of law. As evidence of guilt they cannot be relied upon because lie-detectors can be tricked.

The McCann parents are SELFISH and IRRESPONSIBLE parents and have paid the price. However, I wish I could find their little flower and bring her to them... just to be able to see their faces off ecstasy

my hubby has thought all along that they had somthing to do with poor maddie going missing and after todays events, yes they ARE suspects then it does make you wonder.
if it is not them that have taken maddies life and was some other person then when it comes down to it THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE LEFT THOSE POOR CHILDREN ALONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES !
i just hope the truth comes out soon and if maddie is dead , by her parents or someone else then please bring her home and give her a loving funeral and let god keep her safe at last.

I am a mother of two boys aged 7 and three and half months.
I would never leave them on there own at ANY age to go for a meal, even if it is only round the corner! The children may have been asleep when they left but children can wake up at any hour and then do anything!
And DNCNGGUN44 I am NOT lying, just being what you are meant to be when you decided to keep a baby a responsible parent! Get a babysitter!

I have 2 kids myself and i would never leave them alone to go for a meal. The parents should be ashamed of themselves. I personally feel that they have more to do with this than we know. My children are the most important people in my life. My husband and i still manage to have a social life. Our family and friends look after our children. Its called responsible parenting

I am sorry I do not know who the McCanns are but I read the article and I do agree. Why would they leave their kids alone?
Is that the little blond British girl that went missing? If it is then I remember asking myself that question as soon as it happened.

I didn't know much about this case until recently and I am sure people have mentioned that it is similar to a case in the US, the JonBenet Ramsey murder. I think the parents made a HUGE mistake leaving the children unsupervised. BUT people do make mistakes. The biggest as I see it is also similar to the JonBenet case and that is the fact that the parents were not or have not been interviewed separately before now. Valuable information may have now been lost as I beleive it was in the JonBenet case. I wish the parents closure but my guess is it will end just as tragically as the unsolved JonBenet case.

Even though it was their fault for leaving Maddie and the twins BUT i think everyone should give them a break. Think about it they have lost their daughter and everyone is saying they have killed her!!!!! It's disgraceful how would people like it if it was them!! Surely these sightings in places are not lies!
Also people go missing for years and then turn up safe!!! so you never know so anyone saying shes dead needs their head testing!!

I just wonder why they are letting such a long time lapse between the 2 interviews. Obviously they are interviewing them separately for a reason; then they shouldn't be allowed to talk to each other in between. It gives them to much time to "discuss".

I'm sorry, but I don't know how anybody can have any symapathy for these irresponsible idiots. I am a parent myself and wouldn't dream of going out and leaving my son on his own (he is 5, not a toddler like the McCanns children)
There is something very suspicious about the whole situation and if people have symapthy for anyone it should be Madeleine and not her parents.

social workers are for the poor,as for interference they cannot do this until they arrive back to u.k.what you have said is correct.but we will always have people saying that the mccanns are innocent no matter what.but i have felt that kate was the guilty party here not no-one else.
