Hi. I have also been instructed to take an aspirin every day. I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant with number 2. I have never had a blood clot (to my knowledge). I did have preeclampsia during my first pregnancy, which the antibodies in my blood may possibly explain. (The antibodies weren't found until after my son was born & before I got pregnant this time- when I had some blood tests done.) During my last pregnancy (no aspirin), I was put on bed rest at around 26 weeks for the risk of preterm labor. At 32 weeks, when I went back to my doctor to be released to return back to work, I was diasnosed w/ severe preeclampsia and put back on bed rest until I was induced @ 36 weeks. (My son was born perfectly healthy though.) I am following my doctor's advise regarding the asprin but I am still a little nervous in the back of my mind.

I did. My platelet count was low so my doctor told me to take 1 baby aspirin every day. I carried my daughter full term and she was born healthy at 7lbs 14 oz. It was kind of funny too because I craved aspirin when I was pregnant. Of course I never took any until after the doctor told me to. Everything turned out fine with my pregnancy and with my daughter. I'm sure it will for you to. Just be sure you only take the amount of aspirin that the doctor tells you to take. Good luck.
