Pregnancy & Parenting - 8 September 2007

Hi everyone, I had my last period on 17th fev. so due date would be 24th November, but when I went to Ob. he said that according to the baby size I was due 4th december, as if my period was on the 27th fev. It was odd but, he's the doc so I didn't think about it anymore. But I've seen lots of people here saying sometimes doc do get it wrong. What do you think? Meanwhile, I have another question, last scan the doc said the baby was too small considering I'm 27 weeks preg (according to his calculation). Most people don't realize Im preg because there is almost no belly. I'm 1.63 meters tall and weigh 63kg. i eat normally, no diets or anything like that. I take my prenatal vitamins and Iron. Any ideas? Thanks!

Okay, I'm aware its my baby and I get to name it, I want to get an idea of how the public would view the names. I was raised with a unusual name, Kirstin Kay, and I loved it, no one had my name, I felt special. I would want my child to feel the same. So, I don't want anything popular, I want a nice old-fashioned name. What do you people think of these?

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and I'm having alot of presser like i have to pee every 15 mins. I'm contracting but I'm not in too much pain. But does this mean my water is going to break really soon? And does the baby still move around when your in labour cause I have no clue?

My husband and I have been ttc for 9months now, have had tests and both of us are healthy and should have no problems ttc, starting to get v frustrated and upset. Found out over the weekend a friend is pregnant, they have been ttc for 4 months, over those 4 months my friends husband has been smoking dope and hoping they don't get pregnant, she dosen't know about this and i will never tell her as it's none of my business. I know it shouldn't worry me what they do but i was really upset when i found out they were expecting as he doesn't want a baby yet and it smoking dope and my husband and i are doing everything right and still no good news. How do i cope in a situation like this when it is starting to feel like i'm the only one who can't get pregnant. Feeling like life is unfair and down and out especiallly because i know of the horrible secret, it's murphys law isn't it.....can't stop crying and wishing i was pregnant too........

I have just had the ring over the hand trick and it shows that I am meant to have twins next. I have had it done previously and was told correctly the predictions and then it stopped. Now with this prediction I am wondering if I am pregnant again for it to be showing more.

I was exercising at a gym yesterday, while I noticed A boy who was about the same age as my 14 year old son, he was maybe 5'5 and he had someone with him. He looked quite odd for his age, he was using the dumbells for bicep curls when he was curling with them, with 35 lb weight on a single arm and it looked like he was doing around 15 reps. There was several veins near his shoulder and his biceps that was perdruding out visibly.

I walked over to him and said "Aren't you a little young to be weight training and shouldn't you be using less weight? He observed me for a second, then said "I know so much more then you in physical training so why don't you just shut your bitchy mouth". I was speachless, as he continued his training, I walked up to the man who was training him, probably his older brother and told him what he said " and he just started laughing and ignored me" And he was an adult probably on the usage of steroids.

Why were they so rude to me, and why is he training?

Everybody in my family right down to the dog... names begin with the letter "A".. My husband's name is Adam, Im Amanda and my kids are Aubree and Aidan. We are planning our 3rd child and have to stay with the whole "A" thing (c'mon, we've gone this far) Anyway, we are looking for both boy and girl names and sound good for a little chold but also for a grown up. My kids names are unique and I would like something that flows with their names. We kinda like "Ava" for a girl but are not sure and definetly have no idea for a boy. The baby was born in December. The once thought father signed the birth certificate and took several paternity tests months later saying he was not the father. This is where I come in. I met this girl once. I went to NJ in August to see the baby and go to court. I wasn't able to take the test in NJ and told to take it in Colorado a week later. I was told they would contact me. Over a month has gone by and still no word. I called and they have all my correct information and keep saying they will get to me. The mother does not want any child support. I'm just wondering if a paternity court order can be dismissed after a certain amount of time. The whole thing seems really shady and I don't want to get screwed in the end. I'm afraid she will come after me financially years from now. Any advice out there?

my baby sister just got home from the hospital and they only gave us 2 formula milk bottle, each is 50 ounces....but my sister drank them fast. Unfortunately, my mom couldnt breastfeed at the moment cause there is only little amount of milk come out even when she try to squeeze it. Plus, she just tied her tube today so she couldnt do anything even holding the baby. Im really worry because my sister kept crying but there is nothing left to eat at the moment and maybe a whole day tomorrow. Please help me w/ some suggestions!

a friend of mine has 4 month old boy and he has a sour milk smell to his hair. he doesnt smell like a baby he isn't breast fed but a few of us are trying to work out how to tell her without her breaking down she already suffers from pnd adn feels like a bad mum coz he's rolled off the couch and she wasn't making his formula properly or should we just mind our own business

Now that ultrasounds (and the technicians doing them) have become more advanced... who has recently (like in the last year or two) had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and been told the sonographer saw what looks to be girl (a clitoris). Anyone had this not be true??? I didn't even ask the sonographer for what he thought... he just said, "Well, do you want me to tell you what I think you'll have?"
