I was exercising at a gym yesterday, while I noticed A boy who was about the same age as my 14 year old son, he was maybe 5'5 and he had someone with him. He looked quite odd for his age, he was using the dumbells for bicep curls when he was curling with them, with 35 lb weight on a single arm and it looked like he was doing around 15 reps. There was several veins near his shoulder and his biceps that was perdruding out visibly.

I walked over to him and said "Aren't you a little young to be weight training and shouldn't you be using less weight? He observed me for a second, then said "I know so much more then you in physical training so why don't you just shut your bitchy mouth". I was speachless, as he continued his training, I walked up to the man who was training him, probably his older brother and told him what he said " and he just started laughing and ignored me" And he was an adult probably on the usage of steroids.

Why were they so rude to me, and why is he training?

They were there for an easy hour and a half, I saw his trainer or brother setting up a squat rack for him, with the bar being 45 lbs, him putting on a 45 lb plate on each side, with another 5 on each side. The boy was doing 8 sets of this.

Can't I report this for a form of abuse or anything to do with illegel issues?

Yep, sounds like a side effect of steroids. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you should have approached him period, but he also had no business talking to anyone, much less an adult that way. If I had a guess, he's 14 and has a physical trainer? He most likely is an high school athlete who thinks he owns the world. He'll get his in the end, don't you worry.

alot of people like to be left alone when working out..maybe thats why he was upset. or maybe the way you stated the question offended him or something. another reason might be that youre probably not the first person to say something to him.. since he's a little kid.. it would draw attention. who knows if someone said something before you.. if thats the case maybe he was irritated and when you asked decided to take out his anger on you! now about the older brother or trainer person.. thats just rude. He shouldve been more mature than that. Hope youre feeling better.. dont let it get to you. i dont know if you can report something like that.

You said he look odd for his age, mean you might not have really knowm how old he was. He could have been older then 14 like you think.

Him saying to shut your bitchy mouth was uncalled for, but so was you walking up to him and telling him what to do or what you think he was doing wrong.

You did not know him or how old he was, he even could have been 18 or 20 and just small for his age and was trying to get bigger.

I don't think you can report him..try putting this question in the law section. but, yea, many adolescents are rude to adults because they are going through a phase where they are defiant. Still, not all teens are THAT rude- especially to strangers. So, this kid was probably on a testosterone overload (possibly steroids), that could account for the unnecessary aggressive remarks.

Minding your own business is one thing. But them being rude to you, well that's what society is down to these days. People are just rude and impolite.

One of the problems is that where there are more people, there's more woodwork to hide in.

In the old days in small towns, if you were rude, everyone knew it. Then you didn't have anyone to talk to.

Today, you can be rude and there's plenty of other rude people to talk to.

He probably felt you were being rude to him, so he was rude back. Teenagers often feel that adults and authority figures are unnecessarily rude to them (which is true) so he may be oversensitive. He may also have been older than he looked and was offended by your comments.

maybe he was doing this for a medical condition and thats why he looked odd to you, but alot of kids these days have no respect. My dad would have slapped the poop out of me if he heard i ever talked that way

He's probably in the wrestling or boxing club at school..

Plus no offence but.. some teenagers (expecially guys) think they are too cool for adults.. or other people

It seems to me like you are the kind of person looking to stir up things. Report them for child abuse? Because he's working out!?? Hmmm.... yea, I guess he should be obese like the rest of world.
Maybe he is a wrestler? Maybe health fanatics? Maybe his favorite hobby? And you wanna report him? Time for you to butt out!
