I got a list from my hospital (also having a c-section tomorrow!!)... I will copy it here for you... the only extra thing c-section patients need to bring is extra PJs for you and extra outfits for babies because we're in the hospital a little longer.
Here's the list:
MOMMY:
- Pajamas (about three sets)
- Toiletries
- Breast Pads and bras (feeding bras preferred)
- Nipple Cream
- Maternity pads x 2 packs (some hospitals supply this, mine doesn't)
- Slippers or flip flops for the maternity ward.
- Going home outfit
BABY:
- One pack of disposable nappies (44)
- Wet Wipes
- Pacifier (optional)
- Baby blanket x 2
- Baby clothes:
Rompers, vests, socks x 5
- Baby's toiletries
Most everything else is supplied by the hospital... take your hairbrush and some hair elastics (if you have long hair). Don't forget the camera!
And if you forget anything... someone can always fetch it for you.
*** Edit: Don't forget to bring a few extra panties! Or if you'd like get some disposable ones so you don't mess up your undies. You will probably be 'cut' along your bikini line, so bring panties that won't sit right on the cut. Higher ones (ugly or not!) will probably be the most suitable and comfortable ones to wear.

It won't change what you bring. Just take what you planned. Also remember to bring clothes that are a little bigger because you wont shirnk down right away but also because if you are having a c-section (like I did) you don't want something tight to rub right where they cut you open. It will hurt for about a week. But they give you meds for that and just the first few days are the worst. However it is not as bad as everyone says I would pick c-section over vaginal anyday. Good Luck and Congrats.

You will need
1 large pkt maternity pads
6 pairs high waisted undies (the hipster brief / lower style ones will sit on your scar and become uncomfortable and you will need extra undies because of blood leakage)
nursing bras and breastpads (washable ones work best at home but get some disposable ones for hospital unless hubby is happy to take them home and wash them for you. same goes for the clothes.)
3 changes day clothes like tracksuit pants and long sleeve tops . It gets cool in the hospital so this should be good
a extra top just in case of milk leakage
(clothes are for daytime unless your happy to wear pj's during the day)
3 pairs pyjamas
dressing gown/robe
3 pair socks
slippers
toiletries like shampoo, cond., soap, toothbrush etc...
Baby items like a few (3) outfits or jumpsuits/onesies. singlets, socks, beanie and light mittens, baby wrap, dummy (optional). possibly need nappies and wipes and wash although some hospitals provide these. but grab a few just in case.
CAMERA!!!
spare change for phone
list of phone numbers
a couple of magazines or a book - the baby will sleep a lot and you may become bored especially in the afternoon or evening when hubby and visitors have gone home. seems silly to be saying that but its true!
a couple of spare plastic bags for carrying home any presents from visitors etc....and also for soiled/bloodied clothes.
I know about the undies thing because my best friend had an emergency c-section and rang me at 1am to tell me about the birth and ask me to get her some undies on my way to visit later that day! she then rang me 2 more times that morning to remind me because she was on morphine she kept forgetting she already rang me. So funny!!
Just remember that hubby/partner/mum can always get something for you if the need arises and it is hard to pack everything before hand because you need so much of it now still. Just write a list and keep it with the bag so if anyone else has to get the bag for you they know what to put in and whats already in it!
Good luck and best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery. and i've got my fingers crossed the baby will turn in the next two weeks!!!

I've had three c-sections and the only extra thing I recommend packing is a small firm pillow. After the c-section it is pretty uncomfortable to move, but placing the pillow on your stomach and putting some pressure on it makes it easier to walk and get around. I know it was a life saver for me. Good luck, and congradulations.

I agree with what everyone else listed. But my suggestion is to get the biggest granny panties you can find. ROFL My incision hurt so badly, and I couldn't stand to have even regular briefs on incase they would slip. So I made dh buy me some really big undies. (Actually, before he did that, I was wearing his underwear. Ssshh.)
While I was at the hospital, I just wore the gowns and used their super huge pads and mesh undies. Whatever, I wasn't trying to impress anyone.

-shampoo and conditioner if you plan on showering at the hospital
-super obsorbant pads, or you can try depends, they were a life saver for me
-undies
-change of clothes for your hubby
-nursing bra, if youre breastfeeding, if not just a supportive bra
-maybe consider breast pads incase you're leaking colostrum
-a comfortable outfit to go home in
-a going home outfit for your new little one
-a couple blankets for him/her depending on the weather
-baby's carseat
I think that's it, lol, sorry it's so long...

You should pack lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair comb or brush and makeup. Pack a receiving blanket for the baby. Pack loose fitting clothes to wear home. Congratulations!

Shouldn't change what you take. Just remember to pack clothes that you fit into at 5 months pregnant. It takes a while for your abdomen to shrink back. Congrats!
