The Ohio mom that left her child in the car all day while she taught school ( she is a teacher). She went to the vehicle 5-6 times during the day and didnt notice the child. She was "distracted" because she stopped to get donuts before school !!! no charges were filed and they called it an accident.............. This is neglect and i feel there is NO EXCUSE. How do you feel?
Would you really want this woman as your childs teacher?
How could you look at the kids and forget you left your own child in the car?

my kids are 8 and 11, they behace great for other people but not for me, the 11yo answers back constantly and thinks she should be on equal par with me,my 8yo isnt as bad but does follow the oldests lead. i dont know what to do....its very stressful. i have tried, time out, grounding, loss of prized toys and sending to their room, all to no avail. they fight amongst themselves and antagonise each other and think they are so hard done by. they are not spoilt but do get things. i know i am doing something right because of their behaviour around other people but how do i get them to behave for me. it would be nice to have a happy home. any suggestions?

Our daughter currently gets up around 7am, naps around 9, 12, and 3 - and is usually done napping by 3:30 or 4. Each nap is 30-90 minutes (usually 45 min on average, she's a short napper despite all of my efforts).

We then have the problem that she is tired by 5:30 or 6:00pm - and we either need to give her a catnap by then, or put her to bed. She still gets tired every 1.5 - 2.5 hours - so we don't know whether it is better to shoot for an early bedtime, or do a 4th nap. She gets overtired if we keep her up for bedtime at 7:30 or 8 even with an extra 4th catnap, but when we do earlier bedtime she wakes up after 2 hours and then doesn't sleep as well at all at night.

Any advice from parents that have been in the same boat?

I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second child. With my first baby I woke up in the middle of the night with SEVERE contractions, drove to the hospital (I was in such pain I could not sit down during the contractions), and was dialated to 8 cm by the time I got there soooooo no drugs were allowed. I was exhausted and gave up at the end. I don't want that to happen this time, so I am taking drugs. However, I will not not not have an epidural because I am terrified of messing with my spine. So please tell me the name of the drug and what it did to you, side effects of it, ect. THANKS!

My son is two weeks old and was born with high jaundice. Because of this, my pediatrician made me supplement my breastfeeding with formula in order to get him to pass the jaundice through pooping. Now he is past the jaundice, but I am having a hard time getting him to just feed with breastmilk. He is so fussy when I go to breastfeed, that I wind up giving up and pumping or giving him formula. I did not want to give him formula at all, but had to so that he would get past his jaundice. Will he ever be satisfied with just the breast again? HELP!

What happens? Does he have to go through some sort of legal procedure before he can take the baby or can he just take the baby home from the hospital.

Also, in this situation, mom would not be able to get out of paying child support, would she?

I am pregnant with my 4th, a girl. I love the name Noelle as she is due around Christmas. I also like the "elle" at the end. However I cant think of a name to go with it and I dont want to over do the Christmas link. I would like something, or some version of a name, from the Bible. My other childrens names are Gavin Shawn, Gabrielle Rayne and Branyan Isaiah. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

My cycles are 26 days and I am pretty regular. I was supposed to get my period on thursday, and nothing. Tested negative on friday morning, my period hasn't come yet (I think) and have no symptoms. Today saturday at 6:30 pm, went to the bathroom and when i wiped there was some red-brown discharge, like old blood, so I thought I am having my period, but 15 min. later went to bathroom and nothing, I had sex, and nothing, no blood or anything. My question is, Could I be pregnant or are these signd of period? (My period hasn't come like this before, usually it starts heavy right away).

Today I was at the park with my 20 month old and 2 month old daughters and my 13 year old niece. My 13 year old was taking my 20 month old to the slide and when they got there, my daughter slipped down and fell on her knees, skinned them both and was crying histerically. I picked her up, put some band-aids on them and cradled her. We then left and when we got home I would let my 20 month old out of my sight. She either had to be being carried by me or be holding my hand or be directly infront of me or on a harness. Then when she went to bed I stayed by her crib. Is this over-protective or am I just a worried parent. It's been bothering me for hours.
