i read online that it says parents and children will not be the same skin complexion no matter if there the same race is that true

No, not if you mean that it's an absolute, unbreakable law of nature. Some will match perfectly. Given the size of the human population it's bound to happen. But most will generally differ slightly.

Well in our family it's true...father is half navajo and I'm a typical american heinz 57 geneticly. Our son has came out being even paler then I am. You have to figure that with genetics the odds of recessive and dominant genes combining to give the exact same skin tone as a parent is practically not going to happen.

Interesting thought. I do not find that to be true. My husband and I have different complexions. Though we are both white (caucasion), he is more orangey in complextion, whereas I am a more darker/pinky complexion. We have two children, one orangey complected and one darker/pinky complected. They look exactly like us.

I have a friend who works in labor and deliver and she was telling me about a couple (the woman was white, her husband black). She gave birth to twins and one had a completely white complexion, and the other had a completely black complexion.
Not sure if that answers your question or not....

Not everyones gonna have the exact same complexion.

well my husband and i are both olive skinned white people

and our son is the same as both of us

my parents - one tans after going pink (as does my brother) and the other wont tan at all - no olive skin in sight there so don't know where i got it from

I am not exactly sure what you mean, but I am light complected and so are my kids. So I guess no that is not true.
