Hi everyone, I had my last period on 17th fev. so due date would be 24th November, but when I went to Ob. he said that according to the baby size I was due 4th december, as if my period was on the 27th fev. It was odd but, he's the doc so I didn't think about it anymore. But I've seen lots of people here saying sometimes doc do get it wrong. What do you think? Meanwhile, I have another question, last scan the doc said the baby was too small considering I'm 27 weeks preg (according to his calculation). Most people don't realize Im preg because there is almost no belly. I'm 1.63 meters tall and weigh 63kg. i eat normally, no diets or anything like that. I take my prenatal vitamins and Iron. Any ideas? Thanks!

I forgot to mention, since I'm pregnant i put on 3 kilos.
Oh and my first scan was a week after my missed period, that's when the doc said my due date would be in dec 4th. Not sure if this info is useful...

I was pregnant with twins and only gained 24 pounds. At 6 months I had to lift my sweater to see my belly. Even if you are gaining weight depending on how the baby is positioned will determine the size/shape of your belly. It was my first pregnancy and did everything by the book so as long as you're eating right, taking your vitamins and get regular checkups I wouldn't worry. As far as those scans, 3 days before I had my twins an ultrasound said they were about 4 pounds each, they actually were 6 lbs 7oz and 7 lbs 8 oz!!! Way off! Those measurements, dates and scans are a "BEST GUESS" to give the doctor some kind of timeline to go by. My due date changed 5 times so please don't be concerned about that, the main concern is that your progressing and your checkups go OK.

And Good Luck!!! It sounds you're doing everything right and it'll be lucky baby no matter when it comes...........so try to relax some.

You may be having a smaller than average baby so I would go by your LMP or first scan if that was in the 0-12wk range or there abouts. a scan done in the first trimester is the most acurate at determing due date as most babies grow at the same rate till then.

By any token this baby will be born at some stage and if you are eating well, putting on any weight and generally keeping fit, then I'm sure you are going to have a beautiful, healthy baby. and a smaller baby is a good thing when it comes to delivery. Remember the average is 7.5-8pds but anything from 5.5pds is good.

I knew a lady that looked only 5mths pregnant at full term and she had a perfectly healthy 7pd baby boy!
Best of luck and stick to your guns about your original due date!
