well, your post-delivery bleeding can go on up to 6 weeks... on and off sometimes, but it's all very normal. If you feel that it's something that worries you, you can always contact your ob/gyn. I too had a c-section, and that's how long it lasted on me. While everyone is different, you may or may not have it for as long. Good luck, and congratulations on your new baby!

Yeah. I bled heavily for a few days, then nothing. Then I would bleed more, then nothing. This went on and on for about 5 weeks or so. And even now (8 weeks later) I am mildly spotting after just starting the pill.
It IS normal. And just when you decide you aren't going to wear anything protective because you haven't seen anything in a day or two, you will start again, ruining the good underwear you were saving until the bleeding stopped! It's SOOOO fun (not really).

I had 2 c-sections. I had been in labor for 12 hours with the 1st and 14 hours with the 2nd. Every woman bleeds after giving birth...it is normal. I bled for 23 days the first time and 19 days the 2nd time. It will go away. If you are worried about it and are still bleeding after 3 weeks you can call your doctor if you haven't had a check up yet. Congrats and good luck :)

Yes its normal..I had a c-section on July 27th and just stopped bleeding completely last week! Like you I varied from barely bleeding to alot of bleeding. (I should also note that I have had two previous vaginal births and only bleed for a couple of weeks with those) When in doubt ask your doctor, but Im sure your fine! and Congratulations!!!

I delivered by Csection also and I bled for 6 weeks. It was never really heavy and by the 3rd week it was very light but it continued on for thr full 6 weeks. Everyone is different though so it varies. You should try and do as little as possible and not pick up anything heavy because it can prolong the bleeding and make it heavier. I hated to let people help me because I always wanted to do everything myself...but let others help you as much as possible!

I bled for 7 weeks after my induction-turned-into-C.section. It should taper off here and there. I thought there was something wrong with me because it seemed to stop and then kind of started again. But, no, it was normal. I've heard that C-section ladies bleed longer. I don't know if that's true, but anyway, they should have told you at the hospital that you'd bleed for 4-6 weeks or so.

yes its normal. I bled for about 4 weeks, it got very light towards the end though. some women will stop sooner and some will even bleed longer. Its also perfectly normal for the flow to be heavy some days and very light to almost none other days and it will also change color from red to bright orange to brown. Its all very normal and nothing to be worried about but I know how you feel because I was concerned too! My doctor said its all normal at my 2 week check up and I was fine. Please dont hesitate to call your doctors office if you are concerned though, thats why they are there. You dont even have to talk to the doctor, you can just ask to speak to a nurse or assistant.Im sure everything is fine though! Congrats on your new baby!

Perfectly normal and no different from a vaginal birth. It takes 1-4 weeks, on average, for bleeding to stop.

I bled for about 4 weeks before it started changing to the pink and then white discharge. By my 6 week check up it was over. Also on days that you are very active it might be more than on days that you might not do much moving around.
