Me and my husband are expecting our first, and we bring in enough money to not have it, but...is it still a good idea to consider getting WIC or food stamps, the stuff is free so... I'm stuck between deciding if we should or not.

My five year old son has to wear glasses as of this summer. I let him pick them out and he was very excited about doing that but he won't wear them. Today I tried to get him to wear them to Kindergarten class and he flipped out when we got to school - kicking and screaming.

Any advice on how to get him to feel comfortable wearing them? He tells me he looks stupid in them and he's just a very sensitive kid.

When I lay flat my belly shows and I press my hand down near the belly button area (mostly above) i can move something inside back and forth underneath. It feels a bit short and wide..

Am I pregnant?
or its just some oragan, intestine?


My last period was August 2, but it comes late sometimes, and it sure passed Sept 5 .. could be late.

How likely is it to become pregnant within the first 4-6 weeks postpatrum. My baby was stillborn on July 31st. Didn't bleed much and had unprotected sex within 4 weeks afterward. I know that that could cause pregnancy i was just wondering if anyone else has gotten pregnant so soon and what were the complication if any and how long do you wait to test if you don't know when your 1t period post partum will be?

my 3 1/2 month old is DESPERATE to sit up . I have seen these cute little baby seats that are supposed to aid this. Do they work? can a 15 week old baby use them or should i wait?

i had sex with a girl last month and used a condom and didnt even *** inside of her anyways and she got her period last month. Then she just had sex with another guy about a week ago and didnt use protection and her period is late now! If something did happen would it be with the other guy?

tue 9pm: meiji fresh milk = no puke
wed 7pm: pasta = 11pm puke
thurs 7pm: porridge + 9pm: potato & carrots = 12mdn puke

is it e stomach flu bug or food poisoning or indigestion?

he seems ok no fever, still nursing & playing...
lunch is fine, no puke, nap 1hr... thou cranky afternoons...
aft dinner played, nurse slept, but woke up puke & cried...
but slept soon aft nursing... same 2 days...

if see doc sure give antibiotics, which i dread, as he'll puke aft he taste any medication at all...

should i juz leave him to recover?
should i bring him 2 doc?

any experience to share? thx....

I am 5 months pregnant with a little boy. We have decided that we love the name Carter we just really don't know what will go good with it. We really like Elijah Carter but his brother (who is a dead beat, selfish, butthead...putting it nicely) is named Eli and I don't want people to think that our son is named after him. I asked a similar question earlier, so I'm rewording it. I'm wondering how many kids were tying their shoes by 6. I'm having the worst time trying to teach my daughter to tie her shoes, (not that she isn't capable, she's just refusing to even try) the more frustrated she becomes. Within seconds of me showing her what to do she's whipping her shoes across the room telling me she can't do it. I'm just wondering if there are other 6 year olds that refuse to learn to tie their shoes, lol.

Urine culture read: “Results suggest gross contamination/inappropriate handling. Repeat 10000 CFU per ml Streptococcus agalactiae (Group B). CDC recommends pregnant women w/group B Streptococcus bacteriuria receive intrapartum chemoprophylaxis.” PCP never discussed pregnancy. B/W shows low blood count. PCP says urine & bloodwork are fine. Wk later each time I’d urine/wipe, brownish/yellowish/light pinkish mucous. Then bled heavy w/severe cramps (doubled over), very dark brownish/red blood w/heavy clots, vomit/lightheaded. PCP says ultrasound normal. Shows retroverted (tipped) uterus, nabothian cysts in cervix, endometrial stripe, fluid in right adnexa & cul-de-sac. Unclear what any of this means. Tech performed test on an empty bladder. Had 2 test, one was to be NPOx6h and then I was to fill-up with liquids wait 1hr, then have pelvic U/S. Tech said I didn’t need to fill-up, even had me empty my bladder during the pelvic U/S. I always thought the bladder was to be full for pelvic U/S.

The reason I ask is because I can't remember accurate when my last period was. My sonogram due date says I am due on March 5, 2008 and that would put my LMP starting on May 30. I went to the ER and had a blood pregnancy test done on June 3, 2007 and it was negative. I had sex on June 13 and June 17 with my boyfriend. On July 16 I took a preg test and it was positive. I just wanted some feedback. Thanks-

ok he is my problem i am 12 weeks 4day pregnant. Yesterday my son had diarrhea all day long (4 times)..was eatting, drinking and acting normal. This morning he woke up with a messy diaper and shortly after breakfast he was back to the diarrhea. I haven't changed anything in his meals...he has no other symptoms. When should I really start getting concerned? Could this be related to his molars coming in? His lower left one is already through but now the lower right and upper right are starting to poke through. Any suggestions

My 4 year old was taken care of by Grandma alot when he was growing up ( I was on bed rest for two pregnancies). If he wanted something or didnt want something, he would wine and start to cry and then he would start itching his legs (exzima). So we would go and pick him up and do whatever we could to calm him down so he wouldnt itch hinself until he bled. Well now he is older and I dont think it is ok for him to wine. If he starts to itch when he doesnt get what he wants, i just put him in the corner and tell him that if he wants to throw a fit he can do it by himself. That helped alot with that. But now he wines even more than before. He wines if he cant get his shoes on,if someone has his toy, if grandma is taking too long to get his food ready (that gets too me, but she thinks its cute). How do I teach him to use words to let me know when he needs help? My parents raised me to think it is not ok to cry, I dont want to do that to him, but when he starts school he will get picked on.

My son will be six years old in November, and is in kindergarten. He has nebulizer treatments when his asthma is acting up (surrounding changes in weather, which are starting up for the autumn), and I was wondering at what age kids start using inhalers instead of nebulizers?

I'd much rather him have it in his backpack and be able to use it without cutting into the schoolday than to have him have to go to the nurse's office and do the nebulizer treatment.
