How likely is it to become pregnant within the first 4-6 weeks postpatrum. My baby was stillborn on July 31st. Didn't bleed much and had unprotected sex within 4 weeks afterward. I know that that could cause pregnancy i was just wondering if anyone else has gotten pregnant so soon and what were the complication if any and how long do you wait to test if you don't know when your 1t period post partum will be?

how long should I wait to test? Another baby would be a positive thing and i wanted to wait the recommended time but if it happens sooner I'd be happy. Very anxious but don't want to test too soon.

Still birth is the same as birth. Irish twins are made every day. You can most certainly be pregnant :)

I'm not sure how it works but my sister had a still born a few months ago at around 26 weeks or so,again they didn't know how or what happened but she thought it was to do with some paint used at a factory.She's been trying since then to no luck but she's looked everything up and shouldn't have any problems conceiving and that a stillborn is VERY rare to happen again.But when you do conceive the doctor will make sure they keep a close eye on you more than that time..So sorry what happened to you.

If you had sex, you could get pregnant. You don't have to have a period to ovulate. So I'd say it's very likely.

oh VERY likely!!!! i know several girls that this happened to and one has kids that arent even 9 months apart (second one was premature) however you should have let your body heal-getting pregnant again so soon will put ALOT of stress on your body....
