NFP has been wonderful for us. I'm glad to see that some people know about the abortificient qualities of the pill. I have found that many are ignorant of the fact that fertilized embryos are aborted when they aren't allowed to implant.
We use the Sympto-Thermal Method of NFP. It is taught through an organization called the Couple-to-Couple League--www.ccli.org. Hopefully, you'll have a teaching couple nearby. We actually learned on our own through the mail. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. It's a very powerful thing to know exactly what's happening with your body and it's a great marriage builder when both parties are responsible for preventing or achieving pregnancy.

I'm not sure how reliable natural family planning is. A lot of women who don't want to get pregnant, and those who do don't. I'm not sure. But nothing in this life is a 100% guarenttee. For birth control I recommend Yaz, or Yasmine. Either way, I'd talk to a doctor first to find out which birth control would be the best for your personal needs. Good luck.

There is an excellent book on this very subject, it's called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It tells you awesome things about your own body that you probably don't even know. Most of all she explains how you can successfully achieve natural family planning. Before I read this book I had been on the pill for 10 yrs. and it caused me to put on weight, after I got off of it to try and conceive it has been a problem for me to get pregnant.

Some spermicides also kill the embryo. Family planning, rhythm method (whatever you want to call) can be effective. It is limiting and does not lend itself to "the mood". Would you be opposed to a pill that did not allow an egg to "drop" during ovulation? That's what we used.

Know what they call people who use natural family planning? PARENTS! If you are opposed to the pill and want to reserve your fertility for the future, I suggest condoms. Anything else I can think of would be at odds with your morals. Good luck!

My perception from pondering the scriptures is that existence starts off at concept. Sperm isn't a existence, and neither is an egg. as quickly as those come at the same time, then we are speaking. for this reason, if beginning administration is a contraceptive, than it particularly is appropriate scripturally. in spite of the undeniable fact that, as quickly as that egg is fertilized, existence has all started. Taking any existence, even that of an unborn baby, is homicide.

Natural family planning is an excellent way to get pregnant, but it sucks if you're trying to prevent pregnancy. Use a condom, or a contraceptive sponge or get over your attitude about the pill and use it. It doesn't kill anything.
